New Transformers trailer is up!

Being a HUGE fan of Transformers, and hosting the only Transformers podcast (tfwire.com btw), I know that you guys talked about the movie on the show, so I thought I would pass this info along. The action looks pretty intense....not to mention the original transforming sound is in it.

I thought it was absolutely effing stunning!!

I like Shia Le Beouf and think he'll really help sell this world. He's a natural screen presence, kind of like a young John Cusack.

But most of all I love how Bay seems to shooting a lot of stuff in wide shots. I hope the action reflects this, giving us clear, wide angles of what looks like the most spectacular robot destruction ever to be seen on screen. Not all that close-cut quick edit crap.

No, the one I linked to is the correct one....the Yahoo player just loads the first trailer. You have to scroll down below the player. Trailer 2 is the first link on there.

the 720p .mov download had me my mouth dropped to the floor.
Imma stream it to the 360 and watch it to get my fix until it comes to theater

That is an amazing trailer...but lots of bad movies can have amazing trailers. For years I've been trying to avoid "trailer hope" but I rarely succeed. So I'm still hoping that this movie won't suck...but I'm prepared to get burned.

For me, trusting a trailer is all about what you're expecting from a film. I just want epic robot destruction and it looks like it delivers in spades. I mean, it's not LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE.

As with any Michael Bay film my main concern is the style with which he decides to present the action. Nobody wants that epileptic '20 cameras on every shot and we'll use every one of them in this ten second scene' style he used to favour.

THE ISLAND showed he's calmed down a little. I just hope that not every 'impact' shot is in slo-mo, as it is in the trailer. I want unadorned real-time wide-shot ass-kicking with as few directorial flourishes as possible.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I thought they might bring this up, along with the new promo trailer for Rambo.
