Veronica Mars has been cancelled. Yet another smart funny interesting show taken before its time. Feel free to add other shows that were gone too soon. I'll be crying softly in the corner for a few hours, while i watch my old episodes....

I just got season 2 on DVD... and now this ;.;

Everyone in the show seems to be trying to kill her, now the CW finally has

R.I.P.

yes, well i also wrote a strongly worded letter to the cw telling them what an awful mistake they made. i also told them about how they are contributing to the dumbing down of america and that i wont be watching the network anymore and i hope their ratings go down and their network goes off the air.... is that mean?

I never watched the show, which has always kind of shocked me. I've never heard a really bad thing about it. Maybe I'll add it to the NetFlix queue.
It seems my fate to jump on shows after their cancellation (Firefly).

Seriously Drive Veronica Mars Firefly GAHHHHHHHHHHHH

I think I'm going to become a monk and take a vow of not watching TV.

And am I the only one that thinks Nathan Fillion is a great actor. Just seems everything he touches gets cancelled (exp. Last season of buffy, Firefly, and Drive )

Maybe now they'll make Drive the Movie

ps SLITHER ROCKED!!

Firefly - obvious (1 season)
Drive - cancelled as I was getting into it (3 episodes)
Daybreak - cancelled as I was getting into it (6 episodes?)
Jericho - great storyline, on going story arc (1 season)

Earth2, Space: Above and Beyond, Witchblade ...

While not really of the same level since it did last 4 seasons, but Star Trek - Enterprise was cancelled early as well - it had another 3 seasons left.

I was a Babylon 5 fan - thankfully it got picked up on another network and they were able to finish the entire story arc.

===

And still - the same old crap gets renewed.
Yay ... another reality show (and I am a reality show junkie) ...
Yay ... another lousy sitcom.
Yay ... another Law&Order:CSI.

2007/2008 is going to be a dismal season. I'd kill for something original :(

i think one of the things that makes me the saddest is that they got rid of vm, but opted to keep the *****cat dolls. it makes me weep, and want to reach for my sword to fall on for a honorable death.

Stand by for a cross between "CSI" and "Law and Order". Or will it be "Lost" and "24."

Mean? Not at all, I image it's how most of us felt when G4 killed TechTV

Coming soon to CBS

CSI: Lost
The death of Charlie?

according to creator Rob Thomas:

Rob Thomas about the news:

"No one has talked to me about a new, non-Veronica project. All my writer's have been offered jobs elsewhere, and I believe they will now all accept these jobs. Very, very, very sad day around the VM offices.

I assume that anything Dawn would be talking about in the realm of a Rob-Kristen project would involve a new from-scratch pilot as they don't have me in a deal, and they'll lose Kristen in a couple of weeks."

Bottom line: It's over.

again. commence with the crying.

I can't really complain... it seems like that show could've been canceled after Season 1, but the network stayed with it for another two years.

People have to understand that just because you like a show, the networks still have to make money and ratings. And I applaud the network for letting a show like VM live for 3 satisfying years. Low ratings rarely give a show 3 episodes, let alone 3 seasons.

It's just kinda sad now that CW has nothing worth watching. So, while I won't participate in a "boycott", I don't think I'll be watching anything on that network for a long, long time.

I never saw Veronica Mars, but I'm still upset about Arrested Development and Sports Night.

It's hard for me to blame the networks for canceling the show since it only ever existed to make them money. I blame television viewers (which, if Veronica Mars really was a good show, makes me part of the problem) for not being able to differentiate the quality shows from the singing competitions.

All that being said, I'm more glad that I got two seasons of Sports Night, 3 of Arrested Development, and a very good season of Firefly.

Definitely, Sports Night was a great show. As was Arrested Development.

Similar to Sports Night, Studio 60 I heard was cancelled. They will air the remaining season 1 episodes shot but that's it.

Also the premature demise of a number of HBO/Showtime shows will continue to irritate me for years to come. Dead Like Me, Carnivale, Deadwood...
