Okay, so I'm subscribing to all shows via iTunes, getting the small quicktime. When they finish, should I not be able to just drag to my iPod or is ITunes just being lame again?

Should play on the iPod video with no problem. If you're using iTunes 7, click on the iPod in the Devices section, and when you see the iPod info on the main screen, select the Podcast tabs. Check to see if Podcast syncing is enabled, and make sure the feeds you want to get on there are selected.

This drove me insane to start with as I had set it to sync all videos but wasn't getting any video podcasts on there. iTunes (at least for me) was treating video podcasts as normal podcasts.

If you set the iPod to manually manage music and video then you could drag it over if you want to...

Well I like to manually manage my music so what I'm saying is I should be able to drag it because it's the small QT version, but sometimes I have to drag something onto the iPod 5 or 6 times for it to actually transfer. Seems like this is the problem here.

That's weird - you're right in that it should just go onto the ipod straight away. Can't figure out why it only does it after a few attempts. I'll try it out at work on the bar when I get chance - see if I get anything :)

So, this is a huge pain but sometimes it helps to re-encode the videos before they'll play on an ipod even though they play fine in iTunes. It shouldn't be a problem with a quicktime file but it might be worth a try. After it re-encodes it'll send it to the movies tab.

You're talking about .m4v, which are downloaded FOR the iPod and you're suggesting I re-encode them into their own format?

No, I'm just trying to understand what you're saying. It's technology, doing crap to get things to work that should be working in the first place is nothing new, heh.
