So I finally talked my wife into going to see 28 Weeks Later last night. She can be a pretty snotty movie critic, so I didn't give her any indication as to how well it was being received. I wanted to get her reaction to the movie with having any preconceived notions. I of course heard the boyz review already and had my expectations set. Can I just say...Spot ON!! I wish I could show you the claw marks on my right arm from my wife nails (which given the subject matter wasn't helping) After the movie I felt exhausted as though I had ran all those miles myself.
Every comment by the boyz was double endorsed be myself and my wife.
The gore was horrific, but it was more of what you didn't see than what you did.
The night scope scene was insane
I didn't know who to connect with, because so many characters died off so suddenly it seemed anything was possible.
Thank you Jeff, Alex and Dan for getting me off my ass to see a film I might have waited for DVD to watch.
P.S. Jeff can you come to Portland, Oregon the next time I see a movie? I might need you to dish out some smackdown on some theater goers. There were only about 20 people in the theater last night, but it was the loudest audience I have ever been around. The loudest people were the older people. Talking to each other in voices loud enough to carry across the 3 people in between them. The loudest slurping, burping, wiggling, pop dropping so it ran behind me and under my shoes then talk about how bummed you were you dropped your pop people I have ever heard in my life. You wan't to talk about rage virus? I swear I almost caught the rage virus last night!
I seriously was wishing I had a newspaper so I could roll it up and turn around, smack one of the guys on the nose and say, "No!! Bad people!! No talking, that's a baaaad people!" I needed you Jeff!
P.P.S I only have one more thing to add, 1) I wish I was 20 years younger. and
