I just finished Puzzle Quest (although I'm going through it again) but I wanted any suggestions for my next DS game.
I only have Mario Cart and and Super Mario World. The girlfriend stole my Brain Age. So what should be next? Is Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy any good?
I don't want to get a game for the DS that is also out for the 360 unless it's better on the DS.

Lunar Knights is pretty fun!
But the absolute best ones (IMO)...
New Super Mario Bros.
Puzzle Quest
Kirby's Canvas Quest
Yoshi's Island 2
Has anyone played the newly released 'Touch The Dead'?
It caught my eye when I first heard about it, but at the same time the video clips I have seen were a little less then spectacular...

I'm getting a ds for my b-day this june. Thanks much for the ideas so far!
One question for ya, from a spider-man fan; has anyone tryed any of the games? It seems it would be fun with the stylus. The 2 in question are Spider-Man 3 (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/spiderman3/review.html?sid=6170599) and Ultimate Spider-Man (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/ultimatespiderman/index.html).

I had Animal Crossing, but sold it with my old DS, was fun.
I'm not too familiar with any of the Pokemon games, are any of them good?

The raddest game since Puzzle Quest comes out this week: NY Times Crossword Puzzles (http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000NDFFF4/ref=s9_asin_image_1/002-1678510-6052026?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0T80RJY7ZA78970R6H4F&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=278240301&pf_rd_i=507846).
Holla!

NO.
That game was so bad, I never got past the first few levels. The graphics/camera made it totally unplayable.
For my part, I'd recommend Custom Robo Arena. It's like Pokémon, but you actually fight the battles with your miniature robots, instead of RPG menu-driven combat. Plus, it goes wi-fi... so you can lose to 12 year-olds from around the globe. Kids play dirty, lemme tell ya.....

I'm gonna second clubhouse games...that is rad. you can play over wi-fi and smoke 12 year old girls in checkers/chess/whatever other game...more fun than it sounds.
And I have to represent and say pokemon as well....I just scored a piplup over wi-fi- trading. :)

Is the wi-fi connection free over any available connection, or is it similar to x-box live where you have to pay for the service?

It's totally 100% F-R-E-E FREE! You just have to have an available wi-fi connection.

Good thread! Now I'll have to try Yoshi's Island 2.
I'll also add Kirby's Squaek Squad - especially if you like other Kirby games. :)

Had to resist buying Advance Wars and Kirby today, they had them 2nd hand (preowned), but they're still Ł20 a piece ($40 ish).

Eyeshield 21 is based off of a manga right? What is the gameplay like?

Unfortunately nobody in the US owns the license to the Eyeshield 21 IP, so it's import only and I highly doubt it will ever be localized for the US, BUT it's a very simple game with simple mechanics and is very import friendly.
Hooray for region-free DS!

Trust me, don't get pokemon. They haven't changed shit. Its the same game you played when it was red and blue with minuscule and stupid changes.

I like the new pokemon, being able to trade over the internet was a huge (and much needed change).
As for the playing style, if it ain't broke, don't fix it

I've never touched anything Pokemon. All I know about it is the few episodes I've caught over the years. I was never into it to begin with.

Agreed....theres really no need to muck up the gameplay, it's great as-is...and the trade center (I can't for the life of me think of what it is called, but it's in Jubilife city) is amazing. You just drop off a pokemon, tell the game what you want in return, and wait for someone to take your bait..er, accept the trade :)
