Not sure how hard it would be or if enough people would be interested for u to do this but it would be really great if we can get DVD isos that we can dl and burn to watch on our dvd player. Like a weekly compilation with all shows on a dvd or 2 for that week.

i'd be down with that! Maybe if it were by show, like Diggnation Vol1-whatevs or C.A.C: The DVD, etc, etc. :D :D :D

I can't think of an idea that is less likely to ever happen.

DVDs use MPEG2 encoding and raw ISO images have no compression. Even if they were to zip the thing, your looking at about 4 gigabytes per download.

With the cost of bandwidth, this idea borders on the ludicrous.

They're better off selling the DVDs through the mail via EBAY.

Since it's released under CC, would it violate anything if I were to compile the ISO's and release them for free???

I was actually about to suggest torrents. They could build off of their own tracker or distribute through the main torrent sites (thepiratebay, demonoid, ect...) and keep server load at minimal.

As for the CC terms, it would depend on what 'type' of CC license they have. Some allow for modifications to the original file type, so if they have a more open CC, then compiling shows into weekly DVD ISO's would not be in violation.

This makes more sense. It depends which CC version they use. It seems like it would be okay to me.

Every license requires licensees

* to get your permission to do any of the things you choose to restrict — e.g., make a commercial use, create a derivative work;
* to keep any copyright notice intact on all copies of your work;
* to link to your license from copies of the work;
* not to alter the terms of the license
* not to use technology to restrict other licensees’ lawful uses of the work

Every license allows licensees, provided they live up to your conditions,

* to copy the work
* to distribute it
* to display or perform it publicly
* to make digital public performances of it (e.g., webcasting)
* to shift the work into another format as a verbatim copy

What a coincidence, so is Jesus. I can only hope the DVDs get here first.

Maybe Jesus will arrive with the DVD's in hand.
