If IGN is showing this does this mean your NDA was lifted Jeff? If so we'd love to hear some thoughts.

Things to note:
GUI has been revamped in a serious way.
Stage lights now serve as your star-power meter.
Meter telling you your current note streak.
Much better graphics then Guitar Hero 2 on 360.
New wireless guitar shape is a Les Paul with black buttons, only the outside of the buttons are the appropriate color.
Timing scheme has been changed.

Well, my NDA is not up yet, so I can't say much. But I will comment on what you see there, since it is out in the open.
They didn't let me play with the new guitar... maybe it wasn't ready yet, I don't know. I am anxious to play with it, but I was using the current 360 controller.
The new graphics are, in fact, much improved. Especially the character models. Quite impressive. Same cartoony style, but much more detail.
The stuff that is different... well, might take a little getting used to. Much might change before release, so I will refrain from commenting.
I have played the full song list and I had a smile on my face. My smile was bigger than it was playing GH2 the first time.

The reports that the timing of the button presses is a little concerning. But I suppose it's something one could get used to easy enough.
The new guitar is RAD. And I love the idea of interchangeable faceplates. I can't believe these bastards are going to get another $90 out of me. Unbelievable.

I really kinda hoped they'd add another string button, I thought that would be awesome and get closer to the feel of playing a real guitar.

Has anyone tried any of the open source version(s?) of GH? I've heard they exist, but have not gone out looking yet.

Man I can't wait for this game. The new guitar looks great. I have complete faith in Neversoft as they are one of my favorite developers.

Last I read, 360, PS3 and Wii were all out in 2007.
Also, note the detachable neck, which I'm hoping means that not only can you have double headed guitars etc, but more importantly, you may be able to have a Wii specific guitar neck which has a slot for the wiimote, so we can have motion sensing capabilities.

The timing on My name is Jonas seemed super off to me, but since I've haven't had problems with that in the previous versions I'm going to blame it on the video quality as opposed to worrying it being the actual game.

MMM...sexy. They seem to favor different flavors of Gibson guitars. The SG and not the more classic Les Paul. Also the Flying V. Exclusive deal?
