Hi,
I recently subscrided to Diggnation in iTunes and got all of the episodes. But without paying attention, I deleted the first episode "Diggnation - July 1, 2005." I thought I'd download it again, but it isn't in the RSS feed anymore, so iTunes can't automatically download it. Then I downloaded it from the Revision3 site, but I can't add it in the Podcasts list in iTunes.
So my question is... Why don't you leave all the episodes in the RSS feed?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into why episode one is not showing up in the iTunes and RSS feed.
When you said that you cannot add it to the Podcast list, do you mean that you cannot sync it to the your iPod?

This happens to me as well, but for some reason I'm thinking its related to the iTunes side of things..Sometimes the feed (in the iTunes UI that is) only shows the episodes I have downloaded, as I have it set to only keep the most recent 5. If I right click on the podcast and click update feed, sometimes it will update and show me the list of all the episodes back to 1 that I don't have. Also, sometimes it doesn't, so I dunno.

This also happens in the Democracy player. Despite there being 100 episodes, the feed only reads 86 episodes available.

When you said that you cannot add it to the Podcast list, do you mean that you cannot sync it to the your iPod?
No, what I mean is that you can't add a file that you've downloaded (audio or video) in iTunes and have it added to the Podcast it belongs. It will automatically go in Movies or Music, and you won't be able to tell iTunes that the file belongs to a Podcast, since it doesn't match exatly how the XML file describes the file.
However, a file will be automatically added to a Podcast if you've downloaded it from iTunes and deleted it from the Podcast list, then add the same file back to iTunes. But this will only work if the RSS file tells iTunes that there is an episode which is missing. Here, I couldn't add the file I dowloaded back to iTunes, since the episode was not appearing in the RSS file.
But the only problem is that the episode isn't in the RSS file anymore, so iTunes won't pick it up, and won't start downloading it.
By the way, the episode "Diggnation - October 13, 2005" (Small Quicktime) won't add to iTunes. This time, the file downloads correctly, but then it won't add because it's "not the right format" or something like that. I read somewhere else on the forum (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2077) that it was because the correct file is .m4v, and the file beeing downloaded id .mov. It would be cool if you could fix that too.
Thanks.

The second episode "Diggnation - July 8, 2005" isn't in the RSS either. It looks like the RSS is limited to a 100 entries for some reason... I hope you'll be able to fix that.
