Even though it is in the form of wallpaper, this is my favorite cover for the week. What's yours?

Hmm I like the Countdown cover,
But for me it's gotta be Omega Flight, that cover is awesome.

I'm going with Uncanny X-Men and Countdown.
Not that it's awful, but Buffy #4 is probably the weakest cover for the series. It just rings of franchise book.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought Detective comics was beautiful this week.

Aforementioned, Uncanny Xmen and Omega flight are gorgeous as well.

So is she being shot by a laser or is she shooting out of her shoulder unconsciously? I can't tell...

I don't think there is a Fables/Jack of all Fables cover I don't like...

The best out of my stack was Countdown. Uncanny and Detective get an honorable mention. The worst by far was Outsiders.

Should have dug around for the variant cover of Buffy. I got the standard. Yuck.
I actually buy 2 copies of Buffy each month (one for me and one for my boss' daughter) and I always keep the painted one and give the cartoony one to her

I'd go with either Jonah Hex or Battlin' Jack Murdock. Omega Flight or Uncanny X-men get the worst (just very bland)

Lots of good covers this week. Detective Comics and Omega Flight were among the best, but my favorite was:

Oh, anyone else seem to respect Avatar and Warren Ellis for having the cajones to show a really "deaded" and bloody George Bush on the cover of BLACK SUMMER? Uh, far as I know that's kind of illegal, but eh, he's British, maybe it doesn't count...

I'd have more respect if someone did a dead and bloodied Warren Ellis on a cover and he didn't react to it.
Just read Black Summer. Thought it was pretty good. I'm trusting Ellis to tell me an actual story and not preach to me so I'll stick around and see how it goes.

I liked it. Preachiness needs to be avoided for sure, but this first issue seemed to be one of those situations where the writer put onto paper something we've all felt we wanted to do at some point or another. Frustrations on a page and all that. Judging by those previews for the rest of the mini though it looks like he's going to at least spend a decent bit of time going into the histories of the characters he just presented with. I wish the art was a bit tighter though. The cover is pretty impressive, but some of the stuff inside is a little juxtaposed...

They've actually got the wrong cover there for Superman #663. Shows how interchangeable most of the Marvel and DC covers have become.
I really liked the Danger Girl cover this week.
