I am college student currently home for the summer. All the things that I took to college I have at my dad's (he had a truck to move them) but of course I left all the things I couldn't take at my mom's. Heres the problem. My mom is moving into an new house and moved all our stuff to her boyfriend's house (she moved in with him first, then moved into the new house a few months later) but I found out that on Monday night HIS HOUSE BURNT DOWN!!! My mom and her boyfriend were at her new place when it happened so they are alright. But whats not ok is about 3 to 4 thousand dollars in old game systems and games of my brothers and mine. (NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genisis etc..) not to mention my rad movie collection. Mostly everything else I'm ok with(clothes and such are replaceable) but I have no clue where I can get this stuff back cheap. Can you guys help?

I emailed the TRS squad and they told me to ask you guys.

Oh and maybe you guys might give/sell me some games I'll pay for shipping too.

The car belonging to a colleague of mine got broken into in Toronto last week while I was on a business trip. I lost about $4500 of luggage and personal possessions including iPod, digital camera with holiday photos on the memory cards, laptop with the backed up photos from the memory cards, data projector, wine, the suit I got married in, silk ties (including the ties I was wearing when I got married, one I bought in Rome, and one received as a graduation gift from my mother), and a stack of other stuff. Oh yeah - my insurance wont cover me because I was out of the country at the time, and that was not a coverage option I had added.

Anyone want to help me out as well?

What??

Noone??

You selfish bastards ;)

Well as a serious video game collector (check out my collection in my sig) I am constantly trying to find the old games. I have found that thrift stores and places like Salvation Army are some of the best places ever to find some great stuff. I have had some incredible finds at those types of places, but pawn shops are also good to check. Also as someone else mentioned garage sales, sometimes those can be goldmines. I don't know too many people who collect other video related merchandise like I do, (such as stuffed animals, shirts, toys, ect.) but I also find a lot of those in the same places.

And if theres something you just can't find anywhere else theres always Ebay. Of course it will take you some time to build the collection back up.
