He's not kidding about Rosario Dawson. In person in real life, the girl is radiant.
And she was everywhere here. Turn around, "Look it's Dawson!" All 3 days.
Sorry to have missed you though. Thanks for sharing.

I know..someone told me she is much more attractive in real life and I didn't see how that was possible, but man..words can not fully capture how true that is.
Did you guys score an interview with her?

I'm in the middle of listening to the newest episode of Around Comics and they just got off the phone with Skottie Young.
So my question is, which one of you fine gentleman was already "half in the bag" during his interveiw?

I haven't listened yet but I assume he meant Josh (who did the interview with Skottie) who was definitely not drunk but INCREDIBLY loopy due to the three hours of sleep he got the night before. Josh without sleep is quite like a very drunk man.

Well since you haven't listened to it yet, I better let you know that he seemed to be joking around. Don't want to start some inter-podcast turf war!

That's it. It's on.
This is the podcast equivalent of Archduke Franz Ferdinand getting shot. Watch out Katers and Neseman!

I was all over that (http://www.aroundcomics.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=198&func=view&id=25583&catid=2). About 5 posts down.
But it's true. Immediately, Neseman wanted to know if Skottie punched you in the neck or something.
So I guess the one group of podcasters we were closest to are the ones we'll now have to kill.
Look for a very special edition of the iFanboy video show soon. "The Hunt for Around Comics: Bring Me the Heart of Siuntres!"

Since the con was so artist centric, did anyone else land any cool sketchs? i loved the ones Paper posted earlier

Just for clarification, my sketches were from Wizard World Philly, not Heroes Con.
According to Josh the iFanboys didn't pick up any sketches this year. But if anyone else did, I second Mike's question.
paper, did wwphilly have any cool free shit? they usually have some kind of bizarre sketch variant or something

Like free comics?
I got free copies of Fantastic Four #546 (Turner sketch variant), Fathom Kiani #2 (Turner again), and a first look at Madame Mirage.
nice. I think last year they did a Wolverine Origins #1 sketch. it's nice if you need toilet paper

I unfortunately did not get any sketches this con, I did however get a really awesome print from a painter there (the guy shown doing the awesome sinister 6 painting in my flickr photoset). Its a picture of a little kid wearing a Dr Doom mask. I should've taken a picture of it, I'll try and remember to snap one tonight.

Why didn't you guys mingle with the Comic Geek Speak crew? They mentioned on their podcast that none of you ever came around. Is there a rivalry?

Unless you go up against mr Siuntres. John was my first love.

No rivalry - I said hi to Bryan when I saw him on the con floor - we just didn't get over to their table unfortunately
edit: I misspelled "rivalry"

Looks like this was a fun con. Will there be a video podcast similar to NYCC and San Diego last year?

Well we didn't go for fun! ;)
There will be a show. But we have so many good shows that we're proud of right now, that they're sort of piling up on each other. But yes, within 2-3 weeks, the chronicles of North Carolina will be yours to enjoy.

Correction, if I may. You didn't only go for fun. I figured one would be forthcoming, I was looking for a time frame more than anything. The fact that you guys are ahead on the video shows should give you some comfort and probably some much needed downtime.

Video production and editing are a nightmare. It's not the actual process, but the time constraints and trying to wrangle all the people needed. And the end result is supposed to look like it was no trouble at all.

I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing of what it takes to do what you guys do week in and week out. Mine was more of a comment that hopefully you were going to have some free time coming up.

Oh, I figured you did. I also know that us listeners can be pretty demanding and critical at times and I like to try and take some time occasionally express gratitude.

We do get ahead from time to time, but like Newman and the mail, IT NEVER STOPS! There's always another show each week.
But don't worry, it's still fun, and the criticism pales in comparison to the kindness.
