From AICN:

“I had a meeting with DC Comics last Monday and they want to do (Season 4) as a comic series," “Veronica Mars” mastermind Rob Thomas tells The Toronto Star.

DC’s move may have been inspired by Dark Horse Comics’ new “Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season Eight” title, which has been burning up the sales charts.

Thomas also offers his take on why The CW passed on another season of “Mars.” "At the end of the day [CW programming chief] Dawn Ostroff doesn't get to make the final call,” Thomas tells the Star. “Hers is an important voice in the room. But they're the little sister company of CBS. There was a pretty strong feeling that [CBS CEO] Les Moonves didn't want to do the show." CBS and Time Warner co-own The CW.

Never seen the show, I hear that the main character is doing voice over for Assassin's Creed (one of my most looked foward to games)

It'd totally work as a comic. I'd definitely pick it up.

I've heard nothing but great things about the show. I'll probably catch up sooner or later. It's my luck though that I finally getting around to watching a show after it gets cancelled! (Firefly anyone?)

The comic unfortunately won't have the best part about the show. Hint - it rhymes with Histine Well.

This is true. But maybe we'll luck out and the artist will be a tracer. This is one case where photo-referencing won't bother me in the slightest...

Would you rather see Kristen Bell on Lost or on Heroes?

Because both of them sought her, but only one of them got her.

Please don't be Heroes.

It's a few episodes of Heroes. She turned down Lost to do a play in NYC.

EDIT - Apparently that was just a rumor, it seems she turned down Lost beacuse she didn't want to leave LA and was friends with people on Heroes.

I'd rather her be on Lost too. You're in the minority on Heroes, Esophagus, but you're also in good company, brotha. :D

Kristen Bell is astonishing. Even if she decided to take on a regular role on Two and Half Men, I'd become a devoted viewer.

I dug Heroes when it first started up. The premise was intriguing and I thought the show had a lot potential. As the show went on it got progressively worse. So much of the show felt rote and uninspired at the end. That many of the characters were so uninteresting I wanted Peter to blow them up isn't a compliment.

I was stoked when the show when it was announced. Then they filled the cast with everyone they could, added characters by the gallon, and left people enjoying the show up to superpowers, relying very little on writing, or plot.

Kristen Bell is my entire Top 10 list right now.

She's going to be on Heroes, so there is NO reason to pick up the comic if it comes out, unless written by someone worth reading.

I'm not picking it up unless it's great or is manga.

That's certainly true.

I like to wonder what it would have been like if she had had the opportunity to play Buffy instead of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Not saying SMG was bad, but Kristen Bell is a little more...you'd root for her a little more.

She was on an episode of Deadwood, right? I gotta get on that.

Oh, and everybody should check out Reefer Madness The Movie Musical. She's great in that.

Danielle says: i was going to try and take a pic with my phone but i didn't want to look like a weirdo
Conor says: you should have told her "look, i've got a friend who loves you and he's awesome"
Danielle says: she was having lunch with the asian guy from heroes
Conor says: you're kidding!
Danielle: it was really sweet too cause he waited and made sure she got to her car safely

Conor says: wait, were you stalking them?
Danielle says: no, they were literally 5 feet away from me
Danielle says: so i sat and pretended to read my LA weekly
Conor says: sigh... again, you didn't hook me up?

Conor says: no, i wouldn't have either
Danielle says: i should have tired to sneak a pic

Kristen Bell interview. (http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Exclusive-Kristen-Bell/800020731)

Highlights:

How many episodes are you committed for?
Bell: I think I'm doing 13 as of now.

Anything you can tell me about your character Elle that wasn't in the press release? (We know that Elle has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.'s past and Claire's future.)
Bell: I know a a lot. I think I know everything. But I think the only things that are allowed to be [out there] are what was in the press release. It's going to be a really, really fun character -- that much I can tell you.

There's buzz that you might be the show's new baddie since Zachary will be taking off to do Star Trek.
Bell: That is a possibility. It's going to be fun for me to see where she goes. I kind of hope so. It would be really nice to play the bad guy.

Do you have a power?
Bell: Yeah, I do. I have a really awesome power.

And to bring it back to the title of the thread:

Are you still, like me, mourning Veronica Mars?
Bell: I'm definitely still in mourning. I miss the character, I miss the people, I miss the consistency of that family. Lots of mass e-mails is how we're all dealing with it. We're all still in touch. Everyone is moving on up and doing great things, but we're all still communicating. I just had lunch with Dan Etheridge, who was sort of our physical producer [down in San Diego]. Everyone's really sad.

Rob Thomas told me he'd like to do a Veronica Mars feature film at some point. Any interest on your part?
Bell: Oh, absolutely. I'd do anything Rob asked me. I think we'd all love to work together again.

Have you spoken to Rob about it?
Bell: Not as far as locking down dates or anything, but before we left we were like, "OK, I guess our only option now to keep it alive is somebody's got to write feature!" We definitely all agreed that we would want to be involved in it.
