I just watched the episode: The Chase, just now and I have to say it's my favorite so far. How freaking epic!! First the strain on emotion on the balance of relationships with adding Toph to the gang as they are forced to stay up all night.
Then the broken down town scene, Ang turns and sits to await his fate as the sun is setting...perfect old West style. As the showdown begins the team comes together to overcome the impossible. The fighting was epic, the ending was epic how awesome was this episode!!! I loved it!

Oh man I know what you mean. That episode made me exhausted because I could empathize with the characters being chased and not being able to get away(reminds me of survivors on BSG running from the cylons). It was a pretty dark episode and the end sequences were great!
It gets even cooler, man.

This is from Book 2: Earth. So season 2 , which has already completed. The first 3 volumes of it are out on DVD with the Book 2 complete collection to release in September.
I watched all of season 2 online.
What the heck, I swear only season 1 was done.
Man I have to go get that now.

Zuko gets waay cooler this season IMO.

that was a really good episode, but my fav of all time is "The Blind Bandit" so great

Zuko becomes probably the most well-developed character in season 2. His relationship with Uncle Iroh deepens and we begin to really root for them. Seeing how Iroh's role develops really brings home what a monumental loss Mako's death will be to the series.
My favorurite episode is called 'Tales of Ba Sing Se', way towards the end of season 2. It's a wonderfully graceful, funny and occasionally heart-breaking series of vignettes with all the characters; just spending a little time with each of them before the fit really hits the shan. Like the calm before the storm.

Yeah this has to be my favorite episode as well. C'mon, Sokka at the haiku school is epic!
