Hola. Episode #61 of my podcast is up here (http://kwoktalk.libsyn.org/) or at iTunes (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=211801613). Comic reviews include WWH #1, Spiderman Fairy Tales #1, and Fell Vol1. The best of the rest includes rampaging squirrels, Bjork's Volta, Phoenix Wright (DS), Gracie, my summer reading/watching/listening list, and getting hit in the nuts with tennis balls.

Oh, I was just catching up on the KT eps. I missed, 57 -60 to be exact. Serendipitous.

did you start out weekly kwok?

did you start out weekly kwok?

I did. It got really sporadic probably for the first 30 episodes, sometimes weekly, other times every other week. When it was weekly, I felt always scrounging for material and didn't have much time to prep.

Guess who's first on the list to listen to on Monday Morning? ;)

Going through the summer lists made me feel like a newb in all categories, but I'm excited to finally get to some "essentials"

Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton - Knives Don't Have Your Back[/URL]A bit old but an interesting choice for review.

Haines frustrates me somewhat. I feel like her music has the potential to be great but she's a little too obvious and blunt at times. Sloganeering can be got away with in the context of the indie dance/rock of Metric. Not quite as charming when the tempos slow down though.

Looking forward to your review, Kwok.

Thanks. It's been a review I've had on the shelves for a few months now, but just finally figured to use it rather than let it go to waste. I freely admit I don't know too much about Metric, but the solo album doesn't seem as sloganeering as Metric sounds.

On a very special episode #63 this week, we feature our forum's own Paper and ACBG to the show to discuss We3 and last week's comics. Snoopy, Zatanna, and myself all in a room. Quite a spectacle.

All by my lonesome self, there's a review of Transformers and Wilco's Sky Blue Sky.

Here's a direct link to the iTunes feed. (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=211801613)

Thanks for having us on the show, sir. It was a good time. Great job on the episode.

I swear though. The next time you hear my voice, it won't be saying "like" 400 times. Listening to this was very educational. I now have an even greater appreciation for podcast hosts everywhere. It's harder than it sounds.

Seriously, I have an even higher respect for those running multi-person podcasts. It's like I have a penchant for interrupting people constantly. Fortunately, that's where the beauty of audio editing comes in!

To give credit where due, this was actually more the brainchild of Paper and his thread here (http://www.revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7269&highlight=project+skype). From my podcast's perspective specifically, this was probably neither the first nor the last time doing something like this. In general, this can hopefully be the start for those interested in doing this to contact others and get hooked up. I'm sure between Paper and ACBG's upcoming podcasts, there'll be plenty opportunities to hear more like this with those interested in participating.

My internet connection must be terrible. My voice sounds so garbled over Skype. Sorry, everybody.

I'm gonna have to try recording a Skype conversation from my end to see if there's a difference. I'm willing to bet it's just Comcast's crappy service.

Listening now. Paper's audio is kinda terrible. Hurts my ears. But right on, ACBG reppin' the SM <3 MJ fans!

Edit: Hehe, Kwok referred to Michael Bay as "Peter Bay". Hehe.

I don't know what's going on with the audio. The stuff I've recorded with that headset mic sounds fine, so it must be my connection. When we were recording it was their audio that sounded like that to me. Not sure what to do.

You're audio got better toward the end, Paper. Freaking Skype! That's one of the reasons I stopped listening to TWIT. I could barely understand what anyone was saying on the panel.

Fun show anyways, Kwok, Paper and ACBG.

Great job guys! I really enjoyed this one. Everyone had valid points, and I'm looking forward to the solo podcasts.

I like the fact that you are still willing to experiment with your format, Kwok.

The more I think about it, I think indirectly I caused the problem b/c I tweak my mic down a lot lower b/c I usually have a lot of environment noise. So probably more less Paper's mic being up high than mine being down lower.

As for the Peter Bay, ha, you got me there. ;)

Whoa! What a pleasent surprise. I was just getting home when the newest episode of Kwok came on the playlist, and lo-and-behold, it's and iFanboy forum extravaganza!

Great episode, guys. I'll probably check out We3 because of this. Good going Luis, and I can't wait to check out Angela's and Pol's solo efforts.

Thanks Cam. Using real names really caught me off guard throughout the episode. I edited out a lot of it, but at the beginning and end, I realized that I didn't even know ACGB's last name. My bad
