I saw someone had answered the question to their favorite movie quote with a line from Arrested Development in a different thread and it made me think....WHat a great idea for a thread!
So my favorite......which is hard because every single episode had at least three memorable quotes in it and usually more. But I would have to say it's the scene where Tobias is planning the gala for the company at the end of the series and he tells Michael the party should be nautical themed...
"I know, I can get the guys from the club to help host and they can be dressed up as sailors...we'll call it 'Hot Sailors'...or better yet 'Hot Seam...'
(Michael inturrupts just in the nick of time)
"I like Hot sailors!"
(Michael turns to leave as Tobias mumbles)
"Me too"

This is so hard to pick.
But I'm going to have to say mine is when Tobius is listening back to all the things he's said on tape that day.
"...even if it means me taking a chubby...i will suck it up!"
or
"I wouldn't mind kissing that man between the cheeks!"
his reactions to them all and getting increasingly more distraught by it are so gold.

Nah, there are a lot of people who can't get into it.
The humor is really really dry, and a lot of people can't get into it.

I actually haven't watched more than half an episode, so i'm not sure whether I really like it or not.

And I am a huge fan of dry humor, I just never liked the show.

If you have the time I'd reccomend downloading/renting/whatever the first season and just check it out to see if you get into it.
It's one of those things where you end up watching episode after episode just to see what ridiculous thing happens next.

True, I really only watched a few episodes every now and then, I'll give it another chance sometime.

Watching them Chronologically really does make a difference, too.
The show references a lot of stuff from previous episodes, so a lot of humor comes from watching them all in a row.
I mean, you may still not like it, but it's worth a shot.

The best is the one episode where every family member is doing their chicken impersonation at once.
So good.

Yeah, you definitely have to really pay attention to get most of the subtle humor. Lots of self referencing, and referencing other stuff the actors do.
I also point to the time when Henry Winkler literally jumps over a shark as an example of the shows humor. There just happens to be a dead shark sitting on a dock, and he just hops over it.
Anyway, there's WAY too many good quotes, but I'll throw this one up. Lindsey's talking to an environmentalist who is sitting in a tree in protest.
"You know, we're not the only ones destroying trees. What about beavers? You call yourself an environmentalist, why don't you go club a few beavers?"

Oooh, dittos on the:
"I've made a huge mistake"
or what about:
"Her?"
or what about when Michael is in jail talking to his mother on the phone about how Gob needs to come down to the police station and turn himself in:
"You tell him to come down here 'cause I have a cot with his name on it!"
(mother replies)
"You would do that to your own brother?"
Michael: "Cot, mom, I said cot"
Also speaking of subtle humor while rewatching a few episodes I noticed before we found out that Michael girlfriend was mentally challenged, at like the second episode that she was in she is sitting at a bus stop on a bench with an advertisment for "WEE BRITAIN" in big letters but her body is blocking out the IT in BRITAIN so it reads WEE BRAIN. This is waaaay before we start to figure out she's not all that smart.

The mom walks in on Buster sleeping with the vacuum and Buster says...
"What do you expect mother? I'm part machine!!" As he holds up his metal claw.
I loved this show. It was a shame it only lasted 3 1/2 seasons.

That's what I love about the show, and also why it failed in the ratings. More than any show I know it rewards several repeat viewings. Each time I make my way through the DVDs again I catch more and more sublte and hilarious foreshadowing.
I missed that "WEE BRAIN" one. I know there's a TON of funny foreshadowing things that occur just before Buster loses his hand.

I'm still partial to the BEES quote that I wrote in the movies thread, but I also enjoy when Tobia tries to pick up Bob Loblaw:
Tobias: So what are your plans for this evening?
Bob: I thought that maybe I would stay in and work on my law blog.
Tobias: Ah, yes. The "Bob Loblaw Law Blog". You, sir, are a mouthful.

"Need I remind you I'm a twice over professional? I'm an analyst and a therapist. The world's first 'analrapist'."
"Yeah, that didn't go so well on the business cards."
"So, it didn't look good on paper. But that's beside the point. I didn't stop being an analrapist because of the police inquiries, I stopped to raise our daughter!"

That is one of the best things I have ever seen. Its great to get a few people doing that to someone, and they have NO idea what you are doing.

Oh man. It has the perfect amount of dead space to make that an ultimate quote!
Someone could paste an entire script in here. Each line, if not funny, pays off in some way on that show. I miss this show.
