What book/comic/video game/ etc. that was translated to film just really tipped you over the edge and was down right horrible? It's very rare that Hollywood gets it right. Here's a couple that really pissed me off.

Eragon - I actually read the first two books that are out due to the good press it was getting, and believe it or not, I was actually impressed. But then the movie came out and it was like they only used the title of the book, the character's names, and that's it (the plot was gone). To say the least it was dreadful. They probably made the movie just so on the trailer they could say (cool movie guy voice) "Move over Harry Potter!"

BloodRayne - imho the worst movie of all-time. All I can say is that Michael Madsen better have been drunk, and Ben Kingsley better have been drugged. And I know you will say 'isn't that the movie where the terminator chick get's naked!' Yes it is. It's that bad that you totally forget about it.

I have a feeling Transformers will be on this list soon also. :)

I applaud you for getting through Bloodrayne im sure it was terrible. Miami Vice for me was probably the worst movie iv seen in a long time. Alone in the Dark was also really bad. So basically what magunwarrior said anything with Uwe Boll

Eragorn was a horrible book. It was like "Here's 100 fantasy clichés". It's one of the few books I actually stopped reading halfway through or something. Didn't see the movie either.

But to answer the initial question: Spider-Man 3. Way to ruin a franchise guys.

Not sure whether this fits into the category or not, but Alien vs Predator trumps anything Uwe Boll has ever churned out.

Yeah AVP sucked pretty hard, perfect example of a cool concept that was executed poorly.

Eragon...hmmm...after reading the book, and starting the second one, I'm actually kind of shocked that the books have taken off as much as they have. Someone mentioned before that the guy basically took every fantasy cliche and threw it in a book...which is exactly right. I won't spoil the 2nd book if people haven't read it but I'll say that Tolkien would be rolling in his grave.

The first book has so many similarities with the first Star Wars movie it's not even funny.
