Thats pretty cool. I love awesome covers. None of the covers this week besides Conor's jumped out at me.
I really liked the cover to the Flash.
And now kids, I must say this with this post (#10,000).
I've been to the end of the internet and it's abandoned. oh right, and it turned out that I had nothing to say.

The checkmate cover hopped out at me too, I think I literally did a double take, "What's that?? Ohhhh..." Also, when the pulled The Spirit out of my box my heart did a little dance.

CheckMate should come out in a single trade, yes? I'd buy it.
Am I the only one who was impressed with the X-men Endangered Species Cover? I know most people rip on Marc Silvestri, but I think that cover is fantastic.
I think it's the first painting I've seen of Silvestri's and I'm impressed.

CheckMate should come out in a single trade, yes? I'd buy it.
Vol. 1 is out and Vol. 2 will be out in September. I don't know how they'll do the cross over thing.. Give it a shot. Its not bad.. I got the first trade recently and loved it.

I laughed and laughed when I saw the cover - I think they cut Power Girl's breast size down by about 40% from the original solicitation image.

The worse part about it all? I actually was so shocked at the cover, that I actually picked the book up and flipped through it. Of course I saw what happened at the end of the story, and was forced to purchase the book.
Damn you evil boobs for tricking me into hating you to the point that I still buy the book!

I actually refused to buy the issue because of it. It's not just that Power Girl has gigantic breasts, it's also that her waist is about 6" around. It's not even physically possible. The saddest part - DC made Turner reduce the size of the breasts before they initially solicited it. They were originally LARGER.

after reading the first checkmate trade (which was fantastic by the way) i realized that i'd much prefer to read this book in the trade format so i can't wait until vol 2 comes out, my LCS already has it on order for me. but i really hope they release the checkout arc as a single TPB and not two seperate Checkmate/Outsiders trades:(
