Guys,
Is Munchkin the first experience you have had with a Steve Jackson game? Did none of you ever read/play a Fighting Fantasy book when you were kids?
Warlock Of Firetop Mountain by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone (http://www.amazon.com/Warlock-Firetop-Mountain-Steve-Jackson/dp/0743475119/ref=sr_1_1/002-6301893-7546434?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182374539&sr=8-1)
Anyway, I'm glad you've experienced Munchkin, I hear it's a blast. A lot of my friends play and although I've yet to have a game, they always rave about it, so I can definitely backup the recommendation.
I don't know whether it's a UK thing, but over here we tend to think of a Munchkin as a roleplayer who likes to min/max his character sheet and is more interested in the stats and accumulation of wealth/items/power than actual roleplaying.
