I went on a hunt for info last night about the begging of Season 3 but no real help there. I heard every single thing from 3 months ago to 3 months from now. Any real information is known by Nicleodean and the creators of Avatar.
I hope that they do something at Comic Con that might reveal a little more about the next season, or at the very least tease us with a trailer or possilby season start date.

Right on. ComicCon would be perfect.
I just hope Nick and the creators know that the show is expanding its audience well outside of the target demographic.
I'm sure if they did do a presentation they'd be shocked at the level of interest they get.

I think the finale for season two didnt really do much for myself except come up with a ton of theories on whats gonna happen in season three.

They might be waiting until the movie comes out... I imagine that an M. Night flick would probably get quite a bit of mainstream attention, that would transition well into a bigger TV Viewing Audience.
Nonetheless, I don't believe they air it right away in Canada (I believe the Canadian broadcaster of the show, YTV, only gets the rights to the episodes a month or so later anyways) , so I'll be forced to play the waiting game no matter what.
I can't see them starting Season 3 without the entire Season 2 on DVD first also... I believe theres still one disc left to ship, yes?

Dude, it'll be at least 3 years before a feature film is released.
Shyamalan's doing some 'plants killing the earth' film at the moment.

I threw up in my mouth when I found out Shyamalan was tied to Avatar.

Why wait for a month when you could just download them off itunes or other bittorrent sites?

Because of TRS it opened my world to Avatar. I went on a little bit torrent binge and also have netflix shipping the DVD's. This show is great, and I can't wait for Season 3 either.
I think I liked season 1 a little better, the discovery phase of most shows is what interests me. Season 2 was still excellent but the last episode really, didn't have much closure of any sort. I feel it was left WIDE open, much more than the season 1 finale. Hopefully the fourth disc for season 2 is released soon, I think we will probably see season 3 before a movie.
I'm new to these forums and avatar, Shamalama-ding-dong is doing the movie? is it going to be live action? I would be very disappointed if it was. There is just so much more that can be done with animation. and the animation for Avatar is excellent for an "American made" anime. Oh well I guess I'll just have to back to playing WOW until it comes out. :o

Same here! Thanks to Alex, Dan, and Jeff for opening me up to the Avatar verse. I had always looked down at my brother and sister because of their crazy love of this show. Now I can enjoy something with them!

I heard from the site below (5th comment) that it is to be aired "between March and June" could be BS but who knows.

Not too sure about Nick, but I know the whole Avatar crew is well aware of it's older fanbase. "Rufftoon" or Johane Matte (a storyboarder from A:TLA, who will be at comiccon btw!) and "Fierymonk", Giancarlo Volpe (the director) both have deviantart accounts and cater to us well :)
I like how they all really do appreciat their fans, with even having a wall at the studio dedicated to fanart they've received http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e296/moxie13/DSC02385Fanartwall1.jpg
Oh and nobody knows when Book 3 will be coming out, not even Mike and Bryan. Our best bet is Fall 2007

Wow, that fan-art looks bad-ass. That 'OZAI'S ANGELS' thing is genius.
I'm gonna go check out DeviantArt.

That's an odd contradiction, as they just announced the September date at ComicCon. I won't be put out either way, but I'd venture to guess that the website is inaccurate, especially given the broken media link when I loaded it.
