yea my first post I know, HI EVERYBODY!:D

Anyway. Kevin's' little rant about the H2 was hilarious. He obviously doesn't know its' just a Tahoe frame with a different body on it. Really the H2 is the boxy droped on it's head version Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.

Offroadking a H2? Are you kidding me? Well Alex did make the comment about the commercial that shows the little kid in the H2 soapbox. Lets see how a H2 does in the real world with minor obsticals. And by Minor I mean the truck doesn't slide its' frame across anything. Easy kid stuff to go across you just gotta be half competent in driving slowly.

Yea a rock garden took it down no problem. Hell I could make it across that in a S-10 4x4. And that's a "little wimpy girly man truck."

Oh and the Accord hybrid gets worse gas mpg than the regular accord because it weighs a lot more. ;) For real, put 500lbs worth of batteries and a HD electrical system that bogs down your Accord and watch the economy sink like a stone.

The ferrari thing had me going hardcore though. "It only gets 7mpg and nobody blinks." Hah! Try around 20 with those autobauhn length legs on it. 6th gear going 70 and the motor's just above idle. I don't care if its' a damn viper it's in the high teens, which is awesome for something producing 500+ hp. No Sports car's aren't' these evil carbon producing monsters you think they are. They've changed, a lot. And if it weren't for them using concepts and cutting edge tech in them, there wouldn't be things like fuel injection, or double overdrives (6th gear) that are now standard in just about everything, or anything really that breaks into the 40mpg range aside from a diesel Volkswagen.

Oh and on that note, hell jsut pressure people into buying Diesel engines and have the Govt give a kickback large enough to cover selecting that powerplant. 20mpg pulling a 2 ton trailer is awesome. Just think of the numbers you could get without the dead weight and the drag produced by the trailer.

But it'll never happen. Why? because people see old ass big rigs and think every thing's like that. Nope, a new Diesel in a Chevy HD frame will only smoke if you tune it, and trick the computer into -dumping- raw fuel into the engine. But leave the chips alone and it'll run forever and get mid 20mpg numbers, with out all the hybrid stuff. Now imagine a hybrid diesel. . . 30mpg+ full size trucks anyone?

Beh I'm rantin. Feel free to call me an ass. I don't' mind.

I agree with them. If I saw a hummer that had the liscence plate saying '7mpg' I would feel compelled to key it as well. I wouldn't because I keep a good attitude but I would want to really badly. :D

PS Because you state your opinions does not make you an ass. :)

Hybrid owners aren't any better than Hummer owners.

For the record, the Accord hybrid doesn't get lower mileage than the 4-cylinder because of extra weight.

While the Civic Hybrid is designed for efficiency (1.3L I4 + IMA, ~110 hp) vs its "normal" engine'd sibling (1.8L I4, ~140 hp) i.e. slightly less than 4-cylinder power with significantly better mileage...

The Accord Hybrid is more designed for "V6 power with I4 mileage"
4-cylinder Accord: 2.4L I4, 166 hp, 25 mpg (EPA combined)
6-cylinder Accord: 3.0L V6, 244 hp, 21 mpg
Accord Hybrid: 3.0L V6 + IMA, 253 hp, 27 mpg

So as you can see, with the new and more accurate (2008 standard) fuel efficiency tests, the Accord Hybrid actually gets slightly better mileage than even the 4-cylinder Accord in combined usage and just a tad more power than the non-hybrid V-6 version.

Win-win, as long as you don't mind losing the bit of trunk space the batteries occupy or paying the moderately higher MSRP.

Yeah. The H2 is a useless off-roader. The H1 is also a useless off-roader. It can go off-road. Provided the terrain is flat and mostly sand. Which is why it worked and continues to do so well in the middle east. If you want to go off-road in any terrain, buy a landrover. Type 1 Landrovers still out-perform any modern "off-roader".
