I remember a few episodes back, Alex said what he put in his hair to make it stick up like that, but I forgot what it was. Does anyone remember?

He mentioned something called a "Tenshu"(?) Stick... but it may just be a brand I've never heard of and can't seem to find via Google.

He also mentioned BedHead... which I am very familiar with. TIGI (BedHead) makes a product, identical to the one Alex describes, called "Wax Stick".

...although I wouldn't usually recommend applying it directly to yor head as you may end up with dense areas. Typically, I would hold the stick under a hot hair dryer for a few moments until the surface of the stick turn shiny... then smear it into your palms and brush your hands through your hair (back to front is best).

If you want to go for the Liberty-Spike look... try the BedHead "Hard Head" mohawk gel.

oh... the Wax Stick isn't cheap either. Expect to pay around $15 for the little thing. You may be able to find it cheaper, but the product IS that good (imho).

Well that was a whole lot of info on hair products - but I need more. How big is this thing? I find normal hair gel doesn't do much for me, need something stronger.

The stuff in small jars are usually the strongest.

I thought the same thing after I posted it too. :)

The Wax Stick isn't as "strong" as gel... meaning that it doesn't harden your hair. In order to maintain a spike, you'll need the "hold" of a hair spray. Now, the Hard Head gel... that's some powerful stuff... no spray required for that.

The Stick is a cylindrical column about 3" tall by 1.5" wide. Even though it doesn't seem like much, the stuff can last you months.

ya, my hair is too long to really gel and style and everything, but when I do cut it, I usually use the $0.99 bottle of LA Looks gel.

But my hair is curly, really. I have weirdish hair. It's only properly curly when I gel it, but it won't last too long. Arghhh.
