I just watched episode one again for fun, and I noticed something that I never noticed before for some reason. When Kevin is on the phone talking to the manager about getting a comp pizza, the conversation goes something like this:
Manager: "What would you like?"
Kevin: "I'll just take the Hawaiian kind. I know you don't have bacon, but just ham and pineapple."
Manager: "So you just want the whole thing to be ham and pineapple?"
Kevin: "That'll do it."
And then they both hang up. Yet, when Kevin walks out of the pizza joint with his free pizza, it's not a whole Hawaiian pizza. I wonder if he got busted and just bought something when he went in there to show the camera....

I noticed that too about a month back when i redownloaded the episodes, thought it was hilarious, but didn't really want to incur the wrath of the broken fanatics.

I thought the whole thing was sort of a reenactment anyway. It is, after all, illegal to record someones voice without their permission.
I never did approve of that "social engineering" bullshit anyway. It's too close to just an old fashioned con-game. It's nothing more than lies and theft. How cool is that?

It is, after all, illegal to record someones voice without their permission.Depends on what state you live in. Here in GA it's not illegal to do it. You can find a full list of recording legal stats here:

Does this mean thebroken socially engineered us into thinking that they socially engineered the pizza shop? oh the twists and turns and double crosses, oh my!

C'mon, that's like saying they socially engineered the laptop incinerator episode. And, I'm not sure, but isn't it illegal only if they had a reasonable belief that what they were saying was private. Saying things in a public place, or even a business phone can be recorded by anyone, a la' Mel Gibson slurs and the pavoratzi... (I might be wrong though.)

(I might be wrong though.)Yes, you are wrong. Depending on your state (the link I have already provided) you can record any phone conversation you want.

...wow, if that's true, then we truly do live in a surveillance society... (God bless the Information Age) Thanks for the correction Crumbles.
