I was wondering how about Alex and his partner in crime do a show on apartment crockpot cooking... I have one just need to learn how to use it.
What you think?

Crockpot cooking: Thros food in, cover with water, lid on, turn on, leave for the day, come home to dinner cooked. Easy as that.

What kind of stuff would be good to throw in there?
Just curious.

Roasts are excellent. Season it a little more than you would for cooking in an over, cover with water, add in vegetables. Because it cooks at a low temp, this is the only appliance which is considered safe to leave running while gone for the day.
I also like to do corned beef and cabbage. If you do that, dump all the contents of the corned beef package, including the juices, in the pot before adding water. But a cabbage into eights, maybe some small whole red potatoes, and now I want corned beef.

I have to agree with the sentiment that crock-pot cooking is almost impossible to screw-up. Therefore, no comedy value.
You really shouldn't be watching CAC for real cooking advice. The manual that comes w/ the crock-pot is really all you need.
My Crock-pot favs.
Soups, stews and beans. I prefer a dutch oven or pressure cooker for pot-roasts.

Would you have to add the potatos in later than the carrots or other stuff thats not as quick to cook?

It cooks so slowly that there's no way to screw it up. I toss it all in at the beginning.

One way to screw up is to use something other than CHUCK. Chuck needs to be simmered to be tender. If you use anything else it will fall apart, get stringy and taste dry.
Here is a link to cuts of chuck (among others) in pdf.
