First off I was visiting a mirror site recently and I noticed that Revision 3 sent them a legal notice to remove the trademark name infringement, ok that part makes some sense. But the second part was that they were using copywrited works, which the whole Creative Commons licensing for Diggnation is confusing if they go after people for distributing it.
Second of all and this is why I post here and I believe this thread should be made a sticky, why does Kevin and Alex freely talk about on their show at many points people pirating stuff but when it directly is related to them they go after the people as Jay's post referenced they don't like people to distrubute their stuff even though they jack other peoples stuff.
Does that make any sense? Intelligent discussion pertaining to licensing and the second point I made. Please mods don't remove this becuase I would like everyone to give their opinions thanks.
I don't think they should charge at all either, I'd rather get it right away and have more commercials then pay a dime, do they really need to charge to make a buck? why not use ads and charge for an ad-free version. Sites like IGN.com do this beautifully.
