ok, so i downloaded this movie and it was a .iso file. i extracted the file using winrar and all i got where a bunch of useless broken up audio and video files. so then, i tried to burn the image on a disc so it could be played. but when i went to burn the image, it said that the write was successful after like 2 sec. ejected the cd but it was still blank. am i doing the right thing by trying to burn it onto a disc. how do i watch this iso file? help

.iso file needs to be burned to a CD, so use a burning program such as Nero, provided you have cd OR dvd BURNER.

first, it's a fair rule to never try to extract files from an iso with winrar unless you know exactly what you are doing...
Second, to me it sounds like you might have tried burning to the wrong media format. Is it an iso of a CD or DVD? I would suggest doing drive emulation with something like Daemon tools. It'll create a virtual drive that you can then mount the iso to and treat it like if it was a CD in one of your drives. Aside from that, please give more info, like is it supposed to be a VCD? etc. and then I'm sure you'll get a lot more helpful responses.

Step 1: save shit like this for the technical forums.
Step 2: Download PowerISO. If you downloaded a movie, I can assume you know where to get this.
Step 3: Mount image (the ISO you downloaded) using PowerISO.
Step 4: play from virtual drive

PowerISO will also let you burn straight to the media of choice (CD/DVD/DL DVD) ... so that gets another vote from me.

Alcohol 52% will let you mount the .ISO in a virtual drive...

PowerISO is more versatile than Alcohol and Daemon Tools combined.
