web 2.0 website question

i have a question about a "web 2.0" design on a website. how does one make menus reappear and disappear by clicking a link, an example of what im talking about is on any one of revision3's shows page, such as diggnation:

before the link "view all video downloads" is clicked

my question is how did they do this?
