Ok, not that my little opinion matters, but i feel good about this. I feel like rev3 just went from kick ass side project to a business making a run on the IPTV game. I see TechTV being rebirthed, but way better then it ever could have been in the past cause now it has no boundies. All we need is Leo to jump on bored and for Twit and Rev3 to starting working closely and i think some big stuff can happen.

Either way, im sold on Jim now.

The fact that Revison3's sponsors are almost all web-based serviced has always troubled me. That arrangement reminds me way too much of 1999 and the height of Web 1.0. I hoping Lauderback's print media pedigree can help them diversify their sponsor base a little.

I like his views on "old media/new media."

To me there is no old vs. new. My approach there, and my approach anywhere, is that you have an audience of people that crave a certain type of information and your job is to give them that information in any form they want.

I tend not to trust capitalist/management types, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I consider Netflix mainstream. They're internet based but even still.

What's not to trust? You always know how a true capitalist is going to act.

How about the fact that this guy has been working in tech media longer than a lot of the Revision3 viewers have been out of diapers?

In Louderback's case, nothing. But in the case of many cold-blooded capitalists, their sociopathic obsession with the almighty dollar makes them untrustworthy, IMO.

Also, it's hard for me to have respect for a person whose purpose in life is to move money around and doesn't actually produce anything tangible for the good of mankind.

Patrick Norton on Systm... Robert Heron on InDigital...am I the only one who sees DL.tv going bye-bye and those guys moving over to Rev3 full time?

Ziff Davis is going to buy rev3 and it will all become one.

After this happens, leo will join ziff and be the on-air lead.

After this happens, leo will join ziff and be the on-air lead... and then they spin the iptv side of things off into a new subsidiary called ZD-TV, and the circle is closed.
