Hey guy, I'm a rookie to the board's but already I see ton's of useful info. I had to download every episode of Pixel Perfect because of the great info on there. I did however have kind of a dum question for you cat's out there. What kind computer is Bert using in his episode's, and is there a reason way he use's MAC and not a PC? You see I'm thinking of taking this a step forward and buy a Lap Top or a another computer just for this. I seem to have a liking to the past time.

BTW, Great Work Bert.

i'm not sure why he uses mac, but they have always been know for more of the photo/video editing and features that allow you to create. Maybe thats just what he's used to. He did mention that he uses an intel based mac for PS CS3. But that is more along the lines of performance for programs such as photoshop and illustrator.

HI there, new to the boards myself! I'm a budding Photoshop artist and Berts tips are a godsend! I discovered the show a few months back and had to download them all asap, quality stuff. Anyway, Bert uses the Wacom Cintiq which according to the Wacom website (http://www.wacom-europe.com/int/products/cintiq/index.asp?lang=en) the new Cintiq supports Vista, so I imagine the one he's using could run XP, but for some reason he prefers MAC, maybe he grew up with a MAC, so knows his way around one?

I recently got hold of his Lynda.com video tutorials and he was using a MAC in those.

Hopefully Pixel Perfect will run for alot more episodes with plenty more great hints & tips to come! KEEP IT UP BERT!!!

Bert always gives keybaord shortcuts for both Mac and PC in his tuts so it shouldn't matter anyway. I've found that most graphic artists just seem to prefer Macs.

One of the reasons why Graphic Artists prefer Mac's is that they do colour management better than PC's.

Although PC's do have a form of colour management the Mac management is built into the OS rather than an afterthought with Windows.

I would guess that Bert has just grown up with a Mac.

He use computer to work - not to play games so what is wrong with MAC? It's like discussion: Coca-cola or Pepsi.

Most designers think that mac is better than pc, but honestly I don't think it matters.

i like PC on the grounds that the user community isn't snooty mac users are all like look at me i own a mac, i know how to use a one button mouse, i goto star bucks and drink a $7 coffee and write fan fiction that nobody reads then blog about it then make a podcast XD, PC users also have cheaper parts and know how to upgrade there machines and also if we wanted to we can just illegaly download any program we need via internet, also no Great Games on a mac
