So I was watching Code Monkeys on G4, god i hate that channel most of the time now, and I'm hesitant to say that its actually not too terribly bad. I'm not quite to point of calling it rad yet, time will tell. But I do find it nice for 20 minutes of giggling once a week.
What are everyone else's thoughts on the show thus far? I can see having potential to go on for quite a while, so long as G4 doesn't screw it up like everything else they tend to control.

I only caught one episode, but wasn't impressed. I went in expecting a lot of IT/videogame/dork jokes, and got a lot of drug/sex/gross-out humor.

in that case i think i'll skip it.
there are plenty of shows like that elsewhere.

I gave it a chance, watched 2 episodes, the ONLY thing about the show that doesn't suck is the 10 seconds of Jonathan Coulton's Code Monkey song at the beginning.

Boycotting G4 for what they did to TechTV. Still secretly blame Ziff Davis though, they had it perfect at one point. Tech news all day, tech shows at night, it was perfection.
Sigh, i miss the old days when i was hacking my satalite dish for free service and watching movies and techtv all day. Oh well life rolls on.

immature morons really isnt describing one particular group. hell i see immature morons in their 40s everyday. as for 12 - 18 thats just were most of them lie, there are some exceptions to the rule. and i would like to think that i am one of them. but hey i could be wrong.

My grandmother watches that and Cops...she watches more G4 than me but Nija Warrior is great. I still remember MXC, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. I loved that show, never saw much of it though.

Code Monkeys is pretty funny. It's true that it is just gross out humor but there are some gaming jokes here and there. I liked it. I'm not a moron. G4 does suck but you can't be so angry over Tech TV being murdered by G4. It's been almost 3 years now and I know it still hurts! It's okay we'll make it!!! OH GOD!!! WHY!!???...I guess I am a moron. Who knew?;)

I watched like five minutes of it Saturday because I had nothing better to do, I thought it throughly sucked the largest cock imaginable.
I don't watch to much TV anymore these days, but I keep seeing the commercial for it, but now with your guy's comments I don't know if I care to see it.

I kept seeing interviews with the creator of the show, and couldn't remember where I knew him from. Finally I look up his name and find he was the kid who hung out with Gary Busey in "I'm With Busey".
So I've sat and watched a few episodes of the show, but other than the slightly subtle (probably not the precise word I'm looking for) jokes used in the lifebars and points, the show doesn't have any rewatchability, and barely any watchablility in the first place. Since G4 runs its shows over and over, and over this could be a problem, since with basic cable G4 and some Canadian channel are the only "decent" channels I get. Thank God For Podcasts (TGFP).
The third episode only really referenced Contra, and I can't recall any other video game references, which should be in abundance. Even the least funniest episodes of Family Guy, I could go "Ha, reference I get.".
