Seriously lame. I don't care too much for the multiplayer, but the possibility of online 4 (or at least 2) player co-op was the selling point for me.

not going to argue or nothing, but really it's almost here we're going to have to wait and see. One person is saying yes, another is saying 4 person co-op, and others are being ridic and saying none at all... Really about the only thing Halo3 has left would be Co-Op. You know I just thought. H3 is just like the other H3. Hummer (1) perfect. Doing exactly what it was supposed to. H2 trying to be like it's big brother killing what was left of a market that shouldn't have existed, and then H3 not even close you might as well buy a Ford at this point...

I don't understand why developers can't create more games with co-op play, these games were always my favorites, but they are so far in between. And no I don't consider CTF games co-op. :p

It's not that they're not having co-op, they're definitely having co-op in Halo 3, but it might end up being same console, split-screen only.
I was really excited about online co-op with the new game. I played Halo 1 & 2 through co-op with the same guy in college, and since we're halfway across the country from each other, online co-op was going to be a beautiful addition.
Apparently it's causing some coding problems when you can have people in completely different parts of the map, and then trying to convey that over an internet connection.
I really hope they get it working... if not the game definitely goes from a must buy to a eventually buy.
