Super Stardust HD is much better than Blast Factor. It has some variety in the different planets, enemies, and bosses, but you're always on a sphere, shooting in all directions.

Btw, anyone else check out the new update (1.90)? You can now set you own wallpaper. Yet more importantly, you no longer have to plug in your controller to do the update. At least, I didn't have to.

I did notice that as well, hopefully that's something that continues in the future. Now all they have to do is figure out a way for these updates to be smaller in filesize to download and less time to install.

Well, perhaps that's exaggerating. I'm sure the leaderboard will be filled with people who are a million times better than me. I try, but some people just really need to stop playing, they're so good. I'm just the best person I've ever seen personally, and have won every contest for the first and second (and intend to win a nearby Best Buy contest for a free copy of GH3).

Been playing the games since before the first one even came out. Yes, Best Buy broke street date on the first GH and I got one, and the world followed after. Looking forward to Rock Band, mostly because I would like to play the drums. Mostly because it's something new, but also because I have a natural talent for drumming. Also because the guitar will be old by that time, and the singing will be difficult if it holds up anything like Karaoke Revolutions ruthless judging system.

An ID is the same thing as a username.. And PSN stands for Playstation Network.. So the thread title is perfectly fine.

If you go to Add A Friend in your XMB, it asks you to enter an ID - not a username. So actually, the thread title is more correct than you think.

There is an optional auto-lock (default: on) that you can use, it made the game very easy to control, I found. I'm used to trackballs and the Wii Remote, but I can play COD4 no problem.. YMMV. But there are lots of peeps that play it. And it's double experience weekend this weekend, and the map pack finally arrives on PS3 on Thursday. :)

Edit: autolock is only in single player I think. Just FYI.

yeah if it supported keyboard and mouse it may be more interesting. That's the nice thing (or bad however you look at it) with warhawk is the auto-aim. But I feel like I'm cheating even though everyone else has just as good an autoaim as you. I still get pwned on the ground though. In the air I'm a beast though. May end up actually buying warhawk as I've been borrowing my boss' [sic] for a while now.

Actually, I don't have any issues with the controls even in multiplayer, but again, YMMV. If you have a friend you could borrow it from to test it out, do it. I don't know anyone with it on PC, but lots of my friends have it on PS3, including the people here.

Ahh, I didn't know if you got a 'list full' message or remained pending. So, good, that means that most of the ppl that have recently tried are merely waiting on TRS boys responses. Hope there's still some space there when I get my ps3. Although, I just paid bills, and my bank says I ain't going to get to see GTA4 for a long time. . .. . first gta game I didn't get on the day.

I just jumped into a game of Battlefield with him, and I saw Jeff on there too and accidentally shot Jeff... DICE should fix that in a patch, as sometimes you can't tell if someone is on your team or not. Yeah, I could look at the radar and see a blue square, but really, you don't have time in a twitch shooter.. If it's a teammate, the name should be on the screen all the time, not a second or two after you shoot the person..

Oh well, good times.. But they jumped out of the game after that, not sure what they're up to.. I'll check again in a bit and see if they're playing online, and jump in again. :)

Definitely grab the God of War Collection if you're planning to get GoW3. I'd say do it as soon as you can, and play through God of War right away, then God of War 2 sometime between when you finish GoW and when you plan to buy GoW3, and play other games in between so you don't get God of War'd out. GoWC is only $40 and has two platinum trophies, if that matters to you. The visuals are remarkably good for PS2 games, as well. The anti-aliasing looks superb.

I am assuming you only want exclusives suggested...

Killzone 2 is good, yeah. I haven't finished it yet myself, got carried away into other games. Single-player is supposed to be short.

If you like online shooters, MAG is good.

God of War Collection is good and cheap, $30 or less, if you are interested in finishing GoW2. And of course, God of War 3 is great.

Heavy Rain is a must-play, IMHO, though if you don't have the cash flow, rent it - you an play it in one or two sittings, though you may want to go back for alternate paths/endings (I haven't yet).

Both Uncharted games are great. If you only want to pick one, get Uncharted 2. It's a must-play as well, in my opinion. It was about 11 hours IIRC.

If you like Zelda, get 3D Dot Game Heroes when it releases on May 11th. It will be $39.99 on launch. It's worth every penny, from what I've played so far (I'm in the 5th dungeon now). It's very retro Zelda, but still feels modern somehow.

White Knight Chronicles may not have pretty visuals or amazing story, but I had a great time with it. I prefer it to Final Fantasy XIII, actually... I finished it in about 30 hours give or take, but didn't do much online yet - which is supposed to be the meat of the game.

Both Ratchet & Clank Future games are great.

inFamous is pretty fun, too.

That should get you started.
