I saw the trailer a while back.

Summer Glau's reading of the classic "Come with me if you want to live" was just awful.

How does this show fit into the Terminator universe? Is it just between the 2nd and 3rd film?

The thing most people do not know about Terminator is that you have time travel and alternate dimension. So they have a lot they can play with.

Is there something from the movies to support this? Or is this a book or comic offshoot?

I honestly didn't think it was horrible, not great, but not horrible. I'll definitely watch episode 2 when it airs.

*Possible Spoilers*

Btw, anyone hear they are cutting out the school shooting stuff because of Virginia Tech? I don't know how the hell they are gonna do it without changing the pilot dramatically as there are technically two school shootings, and it seems to be the only place John is vulnerable because Sarah is not there. Plus there would be a hell of a lot of effects to re-do.
