Just got back from Ratatouille and i have to say, if you havent seen this, go see it. I heard the guys on the show say it was good but i just couldnt bring myself to go. The trailer just brought nothing to me, all i saw was a disney movie about rats cooking. But this turned out to be really good and im glad i didnt listen to my gut and skip it.

To me this is what a good movie is all about. Friendship and love, falling down and getting back up, all without getting too .. cheesy .. ahem. There was a nice blend of adult humor and child humor in it for everyone and i really think if your truly a appreciator of good movies you will like this. The little flick at the start with the aliens gets you laughing right off the bat and the smiles just keep coming. But its also touching too cause i will admit that at the end i had a little warm fuzzy with a moist eye before i realized it and was amazed cause i didnt expect it from this movie. But it got me. Or maybe im just becoming a old softy.

Again i dont wanna go into spoilers and plots, but let me just say it was done well and im glad i saw it. I wanted to share that cause if there is anyone that got thrown off the trail by the trailer like i did, i didnt want you to miss a good movie. Plus i have to say, now that im going to movies more its really interesting just sitting in there watching the laugher and emotion roll over the people. Its hard to explain but its almost as good as going to the movie itself. Seeing what the kids laugh over and react too. The girl next to me i think had to go to the bathroom or something and as her mom walked out to take her, the little girl, maybe 5 or so, crawled out and pretended to be a rat. I couldnt help but chuckle.

So anyway. Good movie, go see. Uplifting, inspriring, funny, cute and plain enjoyable.

You were on the forum all the time replying. By "just got back Ratatouille" do you mean "just finished watching the version I downloaded? :D

I wanna see this movie and can't reach yet. I want to see Transformers and can't get to see it. I want to see Die Hard and have yet to see it. I want to se Evan Almighty and no dice. What have I seen this week. FREAKING HARRY POTTER AND SURF'S UP. *sigh*

Why havent you seen them yet? Honestly its developing into a real hobby for me. I take my iphone and my DS, get there early for the seats i want and entertain myself up to and through the trailers that i know then bam, movie time. I actually replied to your xbox vs ps3 thread on my iphone ;) Just do a movie a week and you will catch up. So far i think Even almighty, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, and maybe Diehard ( i might skip it though ) are the last ones i really wanna go see then itll be either break time or have to take some risks. I mean there is still lisence to wed ( i love robin williams ) and oceans 13 but i consider them risk movies, cause they might suck. Hairspray had a line outside for it on a sunday afternoon so i might look into it, but from what i remember, if its the movie i saw on TV with johnny depp, i cant imagine wanting to see it and am baffled there was a line.

Your missing a lot then bro. Consider this, a lot of stuff thats " made for kids " is made by old people, wizened by life, trying to comminicate what they have learned back down to the youth, sometimes trying to all together bypass the box that their parents put their minds in, in hopes that when they grow up they will remember. There is so much under the surface that i can see anyway. Plus if you cant laugh at kid stuff your heading the wrong way i think. There is something about being able to tap into the mind of a child, your own mind of a child, thats powerful and important. Well at least for me anyway. I find the most creative people i know have toys all over there desk and stuff, they are just kids in a grown up body.

But i feel ya, there is some movies thats like telebubby stuff and that ... god my brain hurts just thinking about that.

i have gone on record many times stating that i have no problem with people enjoying the same things they did as a kid but i do see a problem with continuing to seek out stuff made for children when you have grown up. thats why i still watch my muppet show dvds and why i don't read harry potter.

Ahh well po'tato pahtato.

Im the kinda guy that can have a mystery of the universe revealed to me from anything cause i look at it from so many angles, so i just take it all in and see what it can show me.

Either way, to anyone else. Go see it. I was pleasantly surprised.

I got the Muppet Show DVD from my cousin. I saw those things when I was much older but man, that show blows.

You gotta love kermit though sam. Ever watch the daliy show? John Stewart totally rips kermit off if you ask me when he announces his guests. Which i love.

Not much of a daily show fan, but I love me some Colbert anytime. Honestly, Kermit is pretty corny. Mildly entertaining at best but hey, if it's your childhood then by all means, even if I don't get it.
