...no, not your number, unless you are brave... anyway, didn't see one of these threads so I though it'd be a great idea to see what people are jabbering on.
-------
Service: Verizon Wireless
Phones: 2
Samsung SCH-a930
LG Chocolate VX8500
I got the Chocolate because of all the hype and well, to be honest, I love chocolate. Anyway I love the sleek sexy design, the buttons took a bit getting used to, but overall great phone. My Samsung, I just recently purchased and I love how simple, yet, featureful it is. They both are Bluetooth and VCAST capable.

Verizon Wireless
Motorola RAZR V3C
The main reason I got this phone was because it was free, and I had to get a phone then and there because my old one was broken.

I've got a Motorola v265 (Soon to be replaced by the Motorola Q hopefully) - With Verizon - and a Treo 600 that's not covered anymore but i carry around cause it's still useful.

I had a Motorola Q until someone broke into my place while I was sleeping and stole it.
I went back to my Razr V3C with the Altell flash! The Altell flash makes the V3C 100% more kick ass.

Crackberry 7130e on Verizon /w Unlimited Data plan.
Nothing like surfing the net at the airport while a guy in a suit (OK, so I am a guy in a suit too) is struggling to find a WiFi hotspot, and I am happily tethered to the 7130e as a wireless modem. Speed is pretty good - not broadband, but better than dialup.

I have no use for a cell phone although I should atleast get a prepaid one in case of an emergency or something. AMPD has 10 cents a minute plan so I might look into that.

I came in and they were like "oh only 9.99/month for another line and ill knock the 20 dollar phone (w/ 2 year contract) down to 9.99 also" then we go to pay and hes like "oh thats 150 per line deposit" im like :( *heart sank*. I'm going to be stuck with prepaid til i find a new job... cashier pay sucks.

Sup,
What about j2me code for enabled phones? Am looking at developing but need to know the sony_ericsson T610 API. Am searching atm, the user interface sucks, time for a custom one. Anyone interested?

I have the ROKR E1 and I hate it very much. Yeah it's really a blessing and it does get the girls (sometimes) but watching videos and stuff on that thig is really crappy. I'm thinking about getting a simpler phone though. 6230.
My phone died, so I'm back to using the one that came free with my T-Mobile contract:

Eh, I just got a pink RAZR from Cingular after T-Mobile pissed me off for the last time. Hell, I took T-Mobile to court last year, so why I stayed with them for another year after that I don't know. Anyway, I just got Cingular today.
Am happy with lots of daytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends I'll get with Cingular. Beats the T-Mobile plan I had for a few years that was a quarter a minute with no nights and weekends. The bastards wouldn't even let me switch to a better plan without a $500-deposit, as if my perfect payment history didn't speak for itself, even though my typical phone bill was in the area of $200/month.
Pink RAZR looks cool, though my lil' ol' Samsung felt like a smooth pebble when closed. I'll actually miss my little phone.

I have a razr, and I say that is sucks, big time. You can't hear it ring, you can't hear the people talking, not much use as a phone. That and it scratches way too easily.

I have a Motorola V710, which is relatively old and out dated, but i'm not a huge cell phone fan, so that doesn't bother me.
Apparently the firmware on it is flash-able, and a lot of people seem to think it should be, because the included stuff does not allow bluetooth transfer of pretty much any files, and the USB cable has the same restrictions. I've considered tinkering with it for kicks and giggles, but i don't have bluetooth, and i don't want to drop $20 on a USB cable that i'll use 3 times

I've been happy with mine. The sound is great, no scratches (and I put my gadgets through hell), can definitely hear it ring, love the sound quality.... The guy I'm dating said I just got the most current Razr. I got a bluetooth headset that I use religiously and drive with it on my ear to take away the temptation to use the actual phone itself while driving if it rings.

There isn't much difference between walking down the street and watching someone in a conversation over a wireless headset, and walking down te street and watching someone crazily talking to yourself. The only difference is, you don't cross the street to avoid the guy on the phone.

LOL, this is how I've felt! But they're safer for driving and, being the Silicon Valley, it seems like everyone is on BlueTooth. Or at least anyone wanting to pretend to be cool. :D

Actually, it's not any more safer than having to hold the phone to your ear. I say, if you need to talk and drive, pull over and just talk. Have you ever noticed that the one person going slow in front of you is usually always on a cell phone? And you are the one yelling at them to get off thier phones? Yeah, exactly :D

It's MUCH safer to use an ear piece. Both hands are available to drive. Talking on an ear piece is no more dangerous than talking to a passenger. When you hold the phone to your ear, one hand is available and, if an accident situation may arise, you have to drop something you are conditioned to keep from falling before you can even begin to react.
The people going slow in front of me are the ones HOLDING phones to their ears, not the ones talking on ear pieces.

umm...i'm afraid he's very wrong...you got a RAZR that's about 2 years old...if you got it on Cingular...it's been replaced by the V3i (on Cingular), V3t (on T-Mobile) and the V3x (you can buy it unlocked...i have one and it kicks ASS)....and that's not even mentioning the RAZR's that aren't in the states yet or the CDMA (read Verizon) RAZR's
