Tombstone, but I can't eat it because I'm lactose intolerant. So I buy Totinos, they use fake cheese.

Frozen pizzas make my throat really sore for some reason, so if I eat pizza it's either delivery, from a restaurant, etc.

Me too...but I take Lactaid so I can indulge once and awhile. Red Barons seem to treat me fine.

I like your style. I'm sure there are better brands that are in the "special section" of the grocery freezer, but of the big names, RB definitely has the best artificial flavors of them all.

Tombstone. They taste good while not being way over priced.

Hmm, are you intolerant of allergic? The small amounts of cheese-product on frozen pizza shouldn't give you that much of a problem.

So far all the "name brand" frozen pizzas suggested taste like cardboard. And who puts pizza in a microwave?? Even on those reflective origami twist the box inside out type deals they taste like crap.
There is a brand I see locally whose name I can never remember that does a thin crust pizza that is passable - but only because I keep a pizza stone in the oven.
If we are doing pizza and haven't done the dough ourselves (OK, we cheat and use a bread maker to make dough), we get a Bobboli (sp) pizza base, a jar of pizza sauce, microwave some thinly sliced onions (adds some flavour to the pizza sauce base), a sprinkling of mixed herbs (maybe some chilli flakes), top with shaved ham, pineapple (crushed), anchovies (not something everyone likes - and never found on a frozen pizza), mushrooms, and other crap we have lying around (like olives or artichoke hearts if we have them), and a mix of cheeses (heavy on the parmesan). Secret is moderation in toppings. Dont overload or it will come out soggy.

Wow, didn't know you felt so strongly about pizza. I got tired just reading the first sentence. That's just too much work(sorry I got kids, gotta be fast and simple)! Well as far as frozen, we get a great bbq frozen pizza from Trader Joe's that's more than enough for one person and could possibly feed 2. Tastes great and takes roughly 20mins or less. More often than not, we pick up from this great place down the street called Vittoria's Pizza. Mouth watering pizza, Pierre!!!

Agreed a Pizza stone is a near-mandatory start. I tend to prefer whoever makes that harvest wheat crust thing, even though I'm sure it's just processed wheat flour, but none of the frozens compare to self assembled. Even better, a pizza stone in a Green Egg smoker cooker. It's like a back porch brick oven.

I can't believe no one's said DiGiorno. Its usually way over priced, but sometimes you can get it on sale for $4 or less. It can sometimes be tricky to cook just right though, for example, you can't use a pizza stone. A pizza stone will make the bottom too crisp for a pleasant pizza eating experience.

I think i like tombstone and red baron, but i gotta give props to Celeste. I used to microwave them too growing up, a lot. Yes they are crappy gooey nuclear side affect whatevers that are usually soggy where it shouldnt and hard where it shouldnt, but i have such good memories attached to them. Picking off the pepperoni and sausages one by one then folding up the whole thing. I never even cut it up after a while, just fold and eat. Or hold it on your hand so it lays out and just munch around the edges till you got like half left, so good. Had to stove it for that though.
I dont eat that now though, if im getting pizza ill stomach papa johns or pizza hut or one of those, but nothing and i mean NOTHING beats a good old new york home grown pizza. HUGE slices, little bit of grease with the works + broccoli.
Ok now i want pizza.

I would love an outdoor kitchen with the woodfired pizza oven/smoker, but don't really have the place to do it without spending big bucks. The Green Egg looks like a great compromise for the fire oven.

Jack's and Tombstone are good, but I may have to give it to Totino's. Those thing are 97 cents, cook in 9 minutes, and are delicious. The deeper-dished ones from Red Baron, Freschetta, and others, are good, more like "actual pizzas" I suppose, but they're also more expensive and take forever to cook. I also give a thumbs up to pizza stones, although the metal pizza pans with holes poked in them do about the same job.
Interestingly, the WalMart deli makes some delicious pizzas. They're not frozen, just refrigerated, but they're made there, are huge (16"), and have a pound of meat on them. They're more expensive, about 9 bucks, but they're delicious and can easily feed 3 of all-but-the-hungriest folks.

tokenuser: I love pizza by the slice--I love those Sbarro's overpriced but delicious slices.
I possibly didn't clarify, the WalMart deli pizzas I'm talking about still need to be cooked.

Costco pizza by the slice is awesome as well.
You cannot spend $2 on lunch and be more satisfied! If you're still hungry, then you cruise around filling up on samples.

I've never been to a Costco's (I think there might be one in my nearest large city), but Sam's samples used to rock!

I've been looking into the green egg since reading your post. Does anyone know how much they cost? That seems to be something they hide on their website.
EDIT: According to eBay, not cheap.
