I figured out what I need from pownce to suck me in

iphone interface, pure and simple. Or really any way to access it from a moble. I think iPhone would be a easy place to start though.

you know what I need from pownce to have it suck me in? Not being the latest of a long line of stupid things jumping on the Social Networking bandwaggon. So, unless Kevin has a TARDIS (3rd mother ****ing Doctor Who reference today boo-yah-ka-sha) or a rift in time (if he has either of these might want to lend them to the cast of Firefly to make their show not lame) I dont see that happening.

The ability to edit posts would be a good add. I mistyped something the other night and was like "lemme edit tha.... wait a minute". I was just going to leave it, but the longer I left it the more it annoyed me until I went back deleted it and wrote it out again.

Ok you can talk about my iPhone, you can talk about pownce, but dont hate on firefly.

But i hear you. Me im not on any social networks, this pownce is my first intro and i like it a little more now. Since the pownce thread actually when i got more people on my list. Its fun for your group of friends, i guess thats how a lot of things are. If i was on facebook and had friends there it would be fun for me, but so far this is kinda neat in my world so ill back it. Gimme iPhone interface and ill donate, for reals. :)

Pownce is flash (air) based, iPhone got no flash support. Pownce needs to start from scratch. Might happen, but not soon.

True, but the website isnt in air. It posts just fine from there, but acts a little weird on the iphone. Slows the typing down really bad. So a tweak to the site or a iphone UI interface like they did with digg would work and could be easily done i bet.

But yea i got one. It was just too many things i wanted all in one. I know rev2 will be better, i know it still has bugs and the edge could be better ( my only REAL gripe ). But having near full internet, music, video, pda functions and all the other little things was just too much to miss and is too much to give up now that i have it. I realized i liked it when i looked at my use meter a few days in a row and it was around 4.5 - 5 hours each day. Basically im running the battery all the way down.

btw, who is that star trek guy in your avatar? Is that the dreaded extra crew member on the away teams ? The guy always in red that has no name and dies in each episode? If so, hilarious.

Another thing about Pownce. If i pay 20 bucks it kills the advertisements. Well your advertising good stuff, i like a message once in a while that leds me to a new place.

Perhaps a options to turn this off if you pay instead of just disabling it ?
