What are you looking forward to most? Spider-Man 3? Frank Miller's 300? I Am Legend? Casino Royale? Transformers? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Live Free or Die Hard?

Agreed, for some reason I'm really excited to see how Bowie does Telsa.

I'm dreading I am Legend. If you've ever read any book, any movie is shittier than the book. prove me wrong. (maybe in a new thread about this?...)

I'm graduating from college this year and that scares the crap out of me. I don't know what I'm doing with my life, and have no solid plan yet. But if I could fast forward to May 9th and still be in the same position, I would just to see Spiderman 3. I can die after that. Die. So I guess I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Spider-man is my favorite superhero, Sam Raimi directed Army of Darkness, my favorite movie. How could I go wrong?

I agree. I personally think that there isn't enough in the story to justify I full length feature. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but they would have to fill it out to make it 90 minutes... and from what I have seen and read they have decided to fill it with the worst hollywood cliches they could. It makes me sad.

They're still vampires, right? Or are they just infected with a Martian disease now?

Well there are a few movies that I look foward to, like Transformers, Ghost Rider, Spider Man 3, and others, but chances are that they might not live up to my expectations. :(

not sure if i read it here or not, but i thought now besides will smith being the "only" person not affected, there is a woman (love interest) and child (presenting innocence i'm assuming) being thrown in the mix as well

wouldn't be suprised if they chance the title to "We are Legends"

I forgot to cast my own vote when i made the thread: Spider-Man 3 for me too. I am worried that it won't have enough classic Spidey one-liners because it is supposed to be all dark. Also, Spider-Man is falling into the Batman trap of increasing the number of villains to make it a better movie. I am hoping Sandman gets bagged in the first five minutes, because Hobgoblin and Venom are enough of a movie for me. Still, any Spidey flick this summer is better than no Spidey.

I'd have said Transformers a few months ago, but a sad situation happened and this brings up sad memories.

I am looking forward to...stuff. I saw School for Scoundrels last night and there were some excellent previews, but I got too jacked up on vodka and po- um, vodka afterward to remember titles. That bites because I do want to see them.

Spidey 3 had better kick buttum-maximus to shut up the critis who are screaming that it will suck. Because if it does suck, them I'm wrong and they're right and I hate it when critics are right about things!

Most of the people I know are not looking forward to Transformers as they feel all of the terrible changes (have you seen what they're doing to Optimus Prime?!) are "raping their childhood".

I'm of the "Transformers" age, but I never really watched television as a child, so I only vaguely recall Transformer stuff. So I'll be able to watch it without any baggage. It could still suck, but I'll be watching.

I've seen it. There are a lot of changes, but since they're intentional, I'm looking forward to seeing what's been done.

i cant wait for the new rocky. Rocky was my favorite film series growing up and the 5th always felt like such a low to end on, hopefully the new one will close the series properly and on a high, quality wise

Isn't there also going to be a Rambo, though? God, no more Rambo.

I heard that they was to be one, never got into rambo that much but I'd watch a new one.

Rocky 4 is probably my all time most watched film, I used to watch the end fight on the morning before my junior football (soccer) games every sunday for a couple of seasons to get me pumped for the game.

Yes, Rambo 4 will have the subtitle: In The Serpent's Eye. According to G4TV.com, Rambo is going to be fighting priates on the high seas of Burma...wtf.

300 what else

ANYTHING else.

I've been looking forward to Running with Scissors, that one part in the trailer when they break the ceiling makes me tingle.

For these two, I'm going to be a jerk and reiterate what I just said:

If you've ever read any book, any movie is shittier than the book. prove me wrong. (maybe in a new thread about this?...)

seriously, though, about 300 I think it looks terrible, which makes me incredibly sad. :(

About Running with Scissors, I think the movie looks like just another semi-clever indie movie riding the coat tails of a very well written book that comes off way too self-aware of any cuteness, cleverness, wittiness, or "attitude" that it might have. The movie looks cocky and forced. bleh!

eh?

I didn't really want to start a new thread...But I thought that Fight Club did a pretty good job, and Requiem for a Dream wasn't bad either. But I completely agree with I am Legend, that movie is going to suck 8 pound donkey balls. No Cortman? Blah, I don't even want to waste my time on this.

I'm excited for 300, I can't see why you think this looks like crap briangilmore, but to each their own. Spiderman 3 is going to kick ass too, and The Prestige looks really good.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just read your post on the 300 thread. I see what you mean...

DUDE, Fight Club is a GREAT choice and point. Requiem for a Dream is also amazing. Jesus. Fight Club book WAS better, though. hehehehe.

I'd almost put it more in the short story category though... I mean they did an amazing job of filling in the details.

ha! i suppose, half of what is anything written by Chuck Palahniuck, though, is the witty inner monologues.

And for the reasons why i think 300's going to suck is in the 300 thread, suckas!

2 other movies I forgot are Children of Men and The Fountain. I think these look pretty cool.

And on the book topic, I guess they have been saying for the past few years that more of Chuck Palahniuk's books are going to become movies, I think it is Choke, Survivor, and Invisible Monsters maybe, but who knows.

I think Children of Men has the potential to be one great movie. There is a serious lack of good science fiction lately, but this looks amazing.
