I feel like the Heroes forum is getting too big so I decided to break it up by episodes. Hopefully yall think the same.

not to be lewd, but is the cheerleader/wolverine chick always going to be a virgin since she can, you know, "heal herself"?

and i'm thinking the jekyl/hyde stripper doesn't really have any ability. i'm thinking it's the gangster dad whose got the power and is living inside her. i'm also thinking lil' Forge knows this, hence his "they'll never find dad" comment. that's how she knew where the bodies where burried.

They are trying a bit too hard to make every episode have a shocker ending. I didn't see the need to show Claire's exposed rib cage aside from pure shock value. Also, Hiro is yet again hilariously awesome.

true. not really feeling the show per se, but i like talking about it, so gonna keep watching it.

and last time i checked the decease’s clothes are usually removed before an autopsy, unless of course it wasn’t all business in there.

I spotted that which made me think it wasn't a hospital, but then I don't know why anyone else would cut her open.

Even if it was the Sylar or his team or her Dad then why cut her open. To test her powers? or Because they thought that the branch to the brain really killed her and they want to see whats inside?

If its a hospital a dead girl coming back to life would surely be all over the news, and a body going missing if she sneaks out would make the news so she could be exposed in the next episode.

I thought the same thing when she was with that guy. I don't understand how the branch got pulled out of her head, but there was nobody in the room when she woke up right after.

the doc pulled it out and then left.. is that what you mean?

yeah, I mean why would the doctor leave mid autopsy, and she woke up right after it got pulled out.

I've never performed an autopsy but if I were to I would pull out the branch before slicing her open. And why did she "die" with something stuck in her brain, but not with her spinal cord twisted around? It just doesn't seem like the writers quite know how to write for her yet.

yeah it was kinda wierd just leaving right after the stick removal. and do you think that the symbol is gonna pay off or is it just gonna be another lost type plot point that never goes anywhere, and im i the only one that thinks the flying congressman brother is a dick or what. oh and love the asian guy hes so freaking awsome

what would be tight is if cheerverine joins up with her adoptive pop and starts lashing out against the world, having been skewed by the attempted rape.

i doubt they'll go that route.

most likely not, since the previews all lead to the other "heroes" helping her. the only thing i can think of is that she finds out her pops is evil and a things start to go downhill from there...

i would think so... and the fact that he went after the little girl helps my theory that she has powers as well...

i agree its weird to leave someone just cut open on the table...but hey, even the medical examiner needs to take a leak, OR maybe even the dad was there and pulled it out or something....but they obviously wanted to show the branch out, have the eyes show "life" again, and then the shock value of the rib cage...it'll be explained in ep4 i'm sure.

as for why she hasn't "died" yet, im gonna say its her brain that is controlling her regenerative power, so maybe the part that was damaged by the branch just couldn't regenerate properly and push out the branch (a la Wolverine in X2 w/ the bullet to the head)....so then you have to say "well, so she isn't totally invulnerable, just cut off her head/destory her brain"...which may be true, or maybe she would have came back but it just would have taken more time for the actual brain itself to heal

im sorry for the rant, just my geeky $0.02

i was thinking that too, he first makes the girl put the gun to her head, which i would say it just telekinesis, then getting shot (maybe bulletproof vest or he has regenerative power), then i got that he flew outta there? altho, maybe he has an advanced form of telekinesis and made his body just move outta there with his mind?

That would go toward explaining why Syler or whoever is cutting open the heads of his victims. He may have multiple powers because somehow he has found a way to steal/absorb them by eating a brain salad or something. Hey, maybe the congressman's brother is sylar.....no, that's pushing it.

It is just me how thinks the cheerleader is way too fragile. It seems that the consequences of having regen powers are that your bones are brittle and weak, you are pretty clumsy and very unlucky.

Also she seems to have a nasty, uncaring selfish side to her, like the way she treats the guy who video'ed her. Maybe she will become a villain, and wear one of them symbol necklaces.

Someone mentioned in the other thread about Ali Larter that her otherself is controlled by her ex, that DL guy. That would be pretty cool, although not really a power unless DL is the one with the powers. The kid might know that he's inside his mam as well explaining the "You know where he is?" moment.

I think it's rather obvious by now that Sylar is some sort of dejected protoge of the dead professor. Someone that he discovered who had the special evolved powers that he was searching for that perhaps he even worked with to help train to harness them? Only to have him turn evil and kill the professor and become a villain?

Maybe all of them have every power as well and the professor unlocked all of them in Sylar who went crazy with power and is now killing off the rest of them to stop them reaching they potentials. That might explain why that peter could fly and draw the future.

Also I just found out that they are comics online at http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/ (http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/) they is three of them at the moment I haven't read them in case they spoil too much but they might be cool

Also Hiro has a blog thats pretty good http://blog.nbc.com/hiro_blog/

Its quite self mocking of the show:

"The comic book retold everything I did yesterday. (?-?) I found the author's address on the back of the comic book and decided to go meet him. Do all American comic books put the address of their author's on the back? If so, I need to buy an X-Men so I can meet Stan Lee or Tim Sale."

So he found out how to take the powers and is now collecting them one by one. That would be a cool twist

Yea I thought that too, seems like her secondary power is to be accident prone. I guess thats the reason she has the healing factor, cause she breaks easily.

diela
10-10-2006, 11:22 PM
my brother suggested that last night... no doubt a very good suggestion.

If this was how the senator's brother absorbed powers (eating brains) then he could not have absorbed his brother's or the artists yet, as they appear to still have intact craniums. :p

You're overthinking Sylar. Can't he just be a guy we haven't met yet? Does he have to be part of some mind-blowing twist?

I don't think Sylar is the professor or the black guy in the bar. I think he is either the cheerleader's dad, the guy that tried to take the girl (who obviously has some sort of powers), or a character who we do not yet know.
I still support my belief that there will be a evil supervillain team of the evil brother that can fly, sylar, the black guy (if he's not sylar) and others...

Also notice in the previews for the next episode it sounds like its the congressman guy who's talking to his brother to try to convince him to go to the evil side?

Dude, I joked about that last night. I suggested that during the act it would all grow around him and he's get stuck.

On to more serious stuff.

What if the girl's dad is not a bad guy at all and he's part of some secret agency out to save the world or some shit?

hey guys, what say i merge the heroes threads as the episodes come out? every monday, i'll merge the old ones with the "heroes" thread, and there can be a separate per-episode "heroes" thread every week, just like this one, and then the "heroes" thread can turn into a library of heroes episodes talk, and you can use the "search" feature to navigate that thread. I think that'll be the plan, yes?

I dont really see why each new episode would need a new thread, I mean its only 5 pages long but I guess the merging is alright.

Is there some pressing need to merge the threads? Won't they just fall to the back naturally as the season progresses?

Seems to me constantly merging the threads would negate the very reason we started making separate ones for each episode... because the single thread got too unwieldy to read.
