View Full Version : TRS too short?

Regardless of what I previously said about the shortness of TRS due to the spoiler cam, I feel that the show is too short, and that the guys seem to really have to restrain themselves in order to make some sort of time barrier. (Insert temporal mechanics joke here.) Lustice was only about 35 minutes long. I want a longer TRS! I want to see Steve dressed up like Clyde! I want a good review of Mario Strikers Charged! I want more huge phallic popsicles!

I agree, it needs to be a bit longer maybe an hour in total, I watch TRS in my lunch hour at work and also left thirsty for more.

Maybe put some pre-recorded skits in there!

I'd love a two-hour plus TRS every week.

As long as that extra time included an obligatory 'Dan becomes a Man' segment and discussion of AVATAR.

As much as I love the show, I understand the difficulty involved in getting a bunch of people together regularly for any significant amount of time. I don't think TRS is too short, especially since it is weekly show. Lustice at 35 minutes might be a bit short, considering the intro sequence.

I think somewhere in the 40-45 minute range is an ideal mix of not taking too long to make and not taking too long to download. Although it isn't too much bother I would love to see more of the outtakes at the end.

I think that there must be practical and techinal limitations to keeping the show under a particular length. I think that they can only afford to shoot an hour of raw video at a time.

I'd rather have it at the current length weekly than make it longer and go off of the weekly schedule. (Regardless, I'm sure even the current length and frequency is a workload to put together...)

I agree, and as much as I'd love to see some longer episodes, you have to remember that the TRS crew have other jobs and obligations.

true, but how is 15-20 more minutes of more than likely mostly banter between the guys going to hurt that much? I mean sometimes it feels like they are cutting segments short when one of them has more to add... I honestly, don't want a bunch of extras, I just don't want to see one of the guys get cut off from making a point because they need to fit this specific time frame...

That said, I've noticed that TRS and Diggnation have started going from 45-50 minutes to 35-40. So, that really makes me wonder if someone is telling them the shows need to be in a certain time range.

Have some compassion for Steve. The editing is good but must be a ***** to do for that show.

Honestly, I would love for TRS to be 20 hours long but that's not gonna happen :P I feel like a bum begging for whatever scraps of radness they will dole out XD

i think a standard 45-50 min is good, like a hour-long TV format.
Although they could probably put our hours of Comic Con footage.

Yeh, TRS is pretty short, but Jeff makes up for the other two.

I think the current length of the episodes are great. My TRS ritual is to put the show on my iPod and the curl up into bed under my blankets and watch the show (Strange, I know-but it's my thing). I think if the episode were 2 hours...I'd fall asleep and would not be able to watch a full episode.

However, while the format of the show is great, I'd really like to see a recurring segment on books, because books are rad too.

I agree. The Show could be a bit longer at least. I would love that.

Uh....the length is fine. Any longer, and it would just be overkill.

There's tons of other show out there that do similar things. Check out the geekscape or even my podcast. ;)

Well I dont think it should be stretched artifically, but while talking about a Topic, they shouldnt have to rush through it without really getting to a point. I just somehow have the feeling sometimes that some o the discussions could be a bit longer.

Too short? Hmm, if anything it may be a little long. Honestly, I think this show hits the nail on the head http://revision3.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

length was fine, I have issues with the girth... come on guys... is there more comicon footage? most of us couldn't go, I was really hoping for a lot more coverage. Could anything bleed over to the next ep?

While we're at that :-)

why not do a special episode in between regular episodes?

I love TRS so much, I love the fact it is 99% of the time longer then Diggnation, I wish Diggnation was longer too, but TRS because it is such a big show, it could do atleast a minimum of 1 hour if not more.

An hour TRS show would be nice but if it wasnt weekly i'd want it to go back to what it is. I'm fine with what it is though.
