Hooray! We made it to week 2 on the GigaOM Show! In celebration, we thought we'd create a good old-fashioned catfight for your enjoyment, so we invited internet darlings (and arch rivals) Kevin Rose and Jason Calacanis to the set. Will the fur fly? Watch and find out! You'll also get the scoop on Joyce's Facebook fatigue, and get a peek into Om's disco influences. All that and more, on The GigaOM Show.

This episode was more interesting, but I'm still not fully into it.

First show kinda fumbled out of the gate but this second show was pretty darn good..not just because of the guests but now you see more of a chemistry but they still need to change that HORRID set.

This episode was definitely better than the first one. The only thing I really watched of it was the whole Rose and Calacanis segment. I am really not into Om Malik though. Some of his comments in the Rose/Calacanis segment seemed forced in and not just as part of the conversation. Let's see what happens with episode three....

What's up with the audio? Both hosts sounds much clearer than the guests. Kinda odd..

Well, I'm loving this show(I'm a bit of business person though), its pretty funny to watch them be so nice to each other on camera, but then when you look at them online they are always talking shit at each other.

What a dissapointment. I gave the show a second chance and I'm a pretty forgiving guy, but... this is painful to watch. Seriously, Om has no charisma, is an ass, and slovenly delivers his mumbled "commentary".
Clacanis didn't help either, that guy's a plastic blowhard with a bad haircut.
It just bothers me, I gave the show another chance and the content was very soild. But its only as good as the people presenting it. I really think this show needs a different host, or OM has to get much more comfortable on camera. ALso...OM said in this episode that this is his first time on camera, I find that odd because the man is on CrankyGeeks all the time. He seems much more comfortable with Dvorak, rather than Joyce.
I like the show, I will keep watching but i really hope the hosts start to mesh better.

This show was phenomenally better than epi 1. Better filming and content. You guys are gonna do well if you can keep up the good guests. If you want any criticism I do have a few points. That hot red back drop is intense not sure how everyone else feels may want to cool it down. Plus hard to get used to Om on our left and Joyce on our right I just feel it should be switched maybe I can flip the video and watch it reflection wise. The only other is to slow down the stories and a reflect at least a second or two relax and talk more about each story I know this isn't diggnation but it is fun to at least search a few things while your talking, I had to have notepad open just to write the stories so I could search em later. But really these are small things I really love the show and thanks for bringing such an awesome format to Revision3. Om you better add me as a friend and Joyce you better not sue me!.....

The show has some great potentianl. But a few things keep bothering me.
1. Om is very Robotic, it's Question. Answer -Repeat. I didn't like that he cut Kevin off on his answer just to move on to some other question. he seems tensed up.
2. The Girl(Joyce?) the show Co-Host, she might want to say more then 2 sentances in the show.. or not b on the show.
3. Maybe preknowing who was going to be on the show, The Forums could write in questions to the guest.

I thought the show was okay and was in a decent manner. I never saw the first episode so i cant say if it was an improvement.
I didn't like Jason Calacanis because of some things he said got me boiling.

yes, Yes, YES! Talk about an improvement! If it continues like this I'll be watching every week (and giving feedback).
Loved the guests being confronted with each other. Could have been a bit more cat-fighting, but on the other hand we know where that can lead as DN ep 100 showed us. They were a bit too nice, but the questions were good. Maybe include a really naughty question that will bring both to their boiling points and conjure up some action :)
The chemistry of the hosts is getting better. Om's calmed down a bit, probably has bit more respect from the viewers (certainly from me) and Joyce was great!
One thing that bothered me was during the hotspots when Om's constantly looked down at something. I suppose he was checking what topic was next. Personally I think remembering 5 topics shouldn't be that hard, but on the other hand, there's no shame in having some kind of reminder card, but just show it openly. A little GigaOM piece of paper with the hotspots and then just look at it. It just looked a bit as if he was trying to hide something from us.
Thanks for turning down the music in the breaks. I didn't have to change the volume once this time. (But I was watching on my laptop, so maybe I'll complain again next week *g*)
Keep rockin'!

Om you don't need to button that shirt so high... I think it fits your style to drop a few more ;)
Funny how Kevin asked about the decanter in the corner.. curious myself..
Liked the guest mash-up a lot! Try it again soon.

Another good show, not too long, me like! You don't even plug your own blog, Om! (OR if you do, I don't remember)

only because i saw kevin though, i have a beef with all of these shows on rev 3, including digg, that is, why do they always run to their e-mail boxes when they answer a question? ummm..why do we have these forums if they never ever, ever read them?

That's not true. On TRS, they read right from the forum...unscripted.

Enjoyed Ep. #2. I thought it was interesting when Kevin talked about the upcoming features on digg like suggesting stories and friends. I'm looking forward to seeing that implemented. Jocye does really good for not being in front of a camera much. Om is just goodness and funny. Thx guys.

I didn't watch the first ep (I'll probably go back and watch it later), but the show seems quite good. Well produced and professional.
I think that Om needs to work on his camera skills, but if this his first time infront of the camera (like he said) he's doing a great job!
Keep up the good work.
i decided to give this show another try and watched the second episode. I really do think the concept is great, but Om and Joyce just don't do it for me. Just because two people are intelligent in writing doesn't necessarily mean they're good for the camera.
Joyce and Om don't have the chemistry. Maybe try another cohost with Om to see how it might work out?
Does anyone from Revision3 actually read our comments?

I'm enjoying the show, it's really professional. It's hitting a real middleground (in a good way) unlike a lot of Revision 3 shows. Geek shows don't need to be wall to wall comedy and Om/Joyce have some decent natural wit to stop the show from being dragged down.
Glad I watched it!

I really liked this week episode, particularly the interivew with Miller. I love the more mature tone to the show. Om is pimp, all he needs is some bling!
My main criticism is with the post stuff like the lower thirds and the overlays. Firstly, the Revision3 watermark obscures the text in the lower thirds. Moving the watermark or changing the transparency would make it heaps clearer. The first time through I watched from a fair distance away and had trouble making out the text. From my desk it was fine. Secondly, the overlays over Joyce in the episode seemed unneccessarily random. The show itself is more serious than the other Revision 3 shows and the overlay looked out of place.
Anyway, thanks for the show and keep up the good work guys!

I'm glad someone told Om to stop putting his gesturing in front of his face. While a more mature audience seems to be the target, it's still coming off as boring.
Not anything against Om, but it's hard to understand the guy. And this is coming from someone who deals with tech support from the Middle East all the time. Annoying are his one liners that no body but him gets, the weird pauses and hesitations, and Joyces face when Om says something a little off the wall.
