It may be so, but the majority of the 17% are big hits.

Yeah because Oblivion, Marvel Alliance, Viva Pinata, Dead Rising, Forza 2, Condemned, Overlord, Tomb Raider Legend, The Bigs and Burnout Revenge aren't good at all...

How is overlord? I got the demo and played through it. Kinda dug it but didn't know if it was a full price game buy.

I meant it doesn't feel so because I thought more games were shooters. If the figure were around 30%, I would have believed them. This console has too many damn shooters.

I played the demo and I didn't "feel it". I thought the controls were clunky and although the game meant well it just felt a bit under developed and overly ambitious.
I was wrong.
You get used to the controls and one of the biggest complaints is that there is no map. It's fine without a map. The game isn't THAT big. It's chock a block with personality and loads of fun to play. Even multiplay is fun despite the fact that it feels like a last minute add on.
Worst you could do is rent it and get a feel for it. I'm thrilled I bought it. I'm really enjoying it. It's a little bit like Pikmin on the Gamecube and the puzzle solving with your minions is great fun.

Every console has too many shooters. Unfortunately shooters are what caters to the majority of early adopters out there. Also...it seems that shooters; straight up FPS's are a bit easier to develop than games in other genres.

The humor in the demo is one of the things that I liked about it. I was expecting the game to be more like DungeonKeeper, but gameplay is completely different (at least in the demo). The humor is roughly the same though.
