Bio-Shock Demo out for the 360, sadly not coming out for the PC for probably at least a week. PC Gamer UK gave it 95% so I'm sure it's going to be great.

mine's stuck at 1%...i think it was because I had no room on my hgard drive...so I deleted some stuff and then it was stuck at 1%. So I started the download over again. Maybe it will go now.

I've been stuck at 29% for hours and can't wait considering that a couple of my friends are playing it and calling it 'Game of The Year' and the screens look sweet.

Download is approaching 90%, I'll give me impressions after I play through it, I hear it's a pretty long demo, most of the beginning.

Hopefully I'll get to fight a big daddy.

I am literally awe struck.

The atmosphere enthralls you from beginning to end, and I'll give you a point by point review/overview.

(If you don't want anything in the demo spoiled, then do not read further)

The demo starts off with a bang, you're a passenger on a plane, then all of a sudden, it crashes into the ocean.

You gain consciousness and frantically swim up to the debris ridden surface, as soon as you resurface, you are immediately barraged with incredible colors and effects, even on my shitty SDTV it looks amazing.

You swim to a distant island where a lone lighthouse stands ominously, you walk in and you are plunged into darkness, the lights come on automatically and you get a taste of the brilliant art design of the game.

You find an elevator of sorts that goes down and down into the ocean, a movie plays, giving you a brief description of what you are about to touch down into, the movie disappears and you get an awe inspiring glimpse of the underwater "utopia".

You arrive at the station, and the real fun begins.

And that is only the first couple minutes, simply put, I think this game is going to be an instant classic. The atmosphere alone will set the bar for games to come for a number of years. The Plasmid/weapon combos is very fluid and easy to use and the creep factor is off the charts.

I'm there day one, no exceptions, and you should be to.

Demo gets a 10/10.

That's so funny last night I updated my profile with three more months and 1600 points. I was like I'll check out the demo's maybe bioshock will be on there and it wasn't. So I got Stranglehold. I'll get this tonight when I get in maybe it won't be so bogged down when I get home.

I think this game is going to be so underrated, sadly....but everything shows that this game is absolutely incredible. I can't wait to get a 360 and get this game...I wish I had a million dollars.

well judging that the network was so bogged down that it took me an overnight download to fully download this game, I think it's gonna be a big hit.

This morning I turned it on and played until the I got into elevator with the video in it. I stopped then. I had to go to work. This is gonna be a long work day. I was blown away by the 3 minutes that I played.

Stranglehold was amazing. I didn't expect it to be so. And now Bioshock. I'm so excited to own these games. Too bad I'm broke.

I had some horrible trouble downloading it. I got 20% in the first 3 hours, then just 5% the next 2 hrs... an hour later it said 15%.

I restarted it and it finally finished overnight.

As much as I want to play it, I'm half tempted just to wait until next week for when the actual game comes out.

I got the demo just fine and WOW. I cant wait for this game to hit shelves. I had a hard time at first adjusting to everything and i sorta wish there was a thrid person perspective on the game, you know really see what the guy looks like. He seems to go through a wardrobe change between being on the plane and swimming in the ocean.

Either way the game just looks amazing. I love how all the "splicers" in the game are wearing their masks from the party to partialy hide how they look. I just can't wait.

This game is shaping up to be a star. Takes all the excellence that was System Shock 2 and cranks the dial to 11... especially with the amazing graphics and much improved combat.

the game is good and how it played was good and how it looked is good too but the only thing i didn't like was the demo was not longer.

magunwarrior

I thought the length of the demo was fine, it would be one thing if the game weren't coming out for awhile.

In fact I think some mom and pop stores and Toys R Us are already selling it.

I got the XBox 360 demo last night. I know I will get flamed for saying so, but I hated this demo. I will not be buying this game.

The concept is kinda cool, but no more cool than any other original game (I like Shadowrun so much more). And yes, the graphics and physics are nice (heck, even the story seemed cool), but the game play just frustrated me. The action was disorienting and pretty random at times. I have seen much better game play from other titles. This is easily the most confusing and difficult first level I have ever played; I quit after ten minutes.

Perhaps this is just not my genre or something. A demo is but a slice of the proverbial pie, and perhaps given time I could grow to appreciate this more. I cannot in good faith review this game (or anything) until I can see the bigger picture. That being said, this demo did absolutely nothing but turn me off from the game.

And I HATE creepy little kids.

I played the Demo a second time and found stuff I didn't find the first time. Such as the ignite (think its called a plasmid) and I hacked like 3 different robots. Its more fun when you know what you can do and whats goin on.

magunwarrior

The best strategy I've found for the final battle it to hack the camera so it triggers the alarm when enemies come. Go into the bathroom and hack the turret in there and have them all funnel into that side of the bathroom.

So I finally got around to playing the demo....WOW.

I have played the opening segment of the game at least 10 times. I love the storytelling in this game, which is a huge draw for me.

caught this on penny arcade. May change the mind of some who didn't like the demo, and may make the already ravenous kids even more excited :

The game, as presented in the minuscule demo, didn't make an especially strong case outside of its narrative - the graphical tearing and strangely loose environmental interactions were strange in a game this crucial to the platform.

When I heard that this demo is based on a version of the game that is almost a year old, I immediately withdrew my sensing organ

BioShock has an awesome story which helps to give it a mood like no other game (in 2007). Unreal Engine 3.0 has done its job well and props to 2K.

I had troubles downloading the demo until I fixed my internet connection. I've got to say I'm excited about this game mainly because I don't do much online gaming. So it's great to see a game focused on story and the single player experience. Now to go finish the demo before I get some cash to buy it on Tuesday.

Bioshock is awesome.
Fricken creepy.
Fricken Fun.
If the full game lives up to the demo, then this will be the best game for the 360.
