Ok, this is the part where I tell you about the proposed game-a-thon:

On Sunday, 19 August, at 3 PM EST we shall commence.

Reply in this thread if you are interested, and you can PM me your gamertag etc. so I can organize everyone.

As of now, this is xbox360 only - I want a wii so bad, but there are none to buy in my area.

multiplayer wise, i have FIFA 07, NHL 07, FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 (but thats only for 2 players), we'll be getting MADDEN 08 today, BURNOUT REVENGE, out of those, i'd nominate burnout, but like i said im not stuck on these i have no problem going out and renting a game

I don't have a gold account either, but a 2 day free trial came with Lost Planet and i haven't used that yet. Xbox also sent me a one month card due to all the problems i have with my console(s)

To think of it, I might have one from buying GH II a while back. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to play this Sunday as I’ll be traveling from out of town.

For future reference, I have GOW, Halo 1 & 2, Burnout:Revenge, Crackdown, and Marvel UA for multiplay.

I can't really say, I think that 2 is a better live experience, but when it comes to having a bunch of guys over, lounging around drinking beer and playing video games, 1 is hard to beat

except 1 doesn't have online play, it's LAN only (don't question my Halo knowlege, for I am the Uatu the Watcher when it comes to Halo ;)). There is a software program that tricks your Xbox into thinking it's playing a LAN game via the net, but it's a bit unruly and too complicated for our little gameathon!

Hmm... I only ever played the first one at group partys, through system link, which was fun. Now that you mention it I knew that. In which case, 2 makes a great replacement. =p

Just curious, has anyone played played GOW online? If not, I could post some tips concerning the XBL user interfacefor that particular game.
