youll be fine. there is no huge, engaging plot like heroes/lost. its just a very funny show.

oh man oh man oh man, I cannot wait for it to start up again. I don't want to spoil anything but If you're interested in seeing the episode names for season 3, here they are...

(this is per wikipedia so these may be inaccurate)

"Dennis Gets a Puppy"
"Mac and Dee Take Back the Streets"
"The Gang finds a Dumpster Baby""
"Mac is a Serial Killer"
"The Gang gets Held Hostage"
"Frank Sets Sweet Dee on Fire"
"Dennis Looks Like a Sex Offender"
"The Gang Gets Stockholm Syndrome"
"The Gang Solves the North Korea Situation"
"The Gang Gets Invincible"
"The Gang Gets Wacked"

Comedy gold!

this is a show that actually puts people in situations that are funny, and are not limited to boring things. like a family who cares about each other. and it's not like only one character in the show is funny; they all are.
What was the last sitcom that you watched that had so many L(aughs)P(er)M(inute)?

I had to revive this thread. I just watched season 1 and 2 back-to-back. This show is one of the funniest shows ive ever seen! Every episode has been top notch so far.
I think this show is kind of Seinfeld-esque, in that theres no sappy drama which bogs down most sitcoms, and everyone gets their comeuppance.
Also that ****ed up family (2 bros. and 1 sister) is creepy and disturbing.

This show is pure awesome... and if you haven't seen it you really need to. Yeah, it reminds me of Seinfeld, too... The tagline listed on imdb is "It's Seinfeld on crack"... which is exactly how I'd describe it.

But, be aware that it can be quite... racial. Just, keep an open mind...

The new season starts tonight... get on it!

Just yesterday one of my friends told me to watch it. I've heard it was amazing. I just need to find the time.

I'm currently watching all of Season 1 and 2 in preparation for the upcoming premiere. I should finish them about the time the new episode comes on. =)

This is definitely one of the most underappreciated but funniest shows on TV. It started off as a regular funny show and now it has evolved into a "I need to get prepared for Adult Swim"' type of show if you know what I mean. FX has some really underappreciated shows. DIRT is a very good show IMO and I am anticipating the 2nd season. Anyone agree?

The premier was good!

I thought the first episode was a bit better then the second, but overall a damn good beginning. Unfortunately with two episode a week the season will be over in October.

Is it me or does their latest commercial completely rip off this video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8840074059610935808&q=stop+motion&total=52819&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=7) posted back in April?

The show interests me (based on the comments here) but it seems kind of lame to so blatantly use someone elses idea.

Allow my friend, Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody), to explain it.

I was thinking abotu checking it out then i saw this ad where they swipe the add guy from the net who cut himself up making funny sounds and made a song. That kinda turned me off cause i dont know now if they are a show that rips off other peoples material and brings it to the front line or if its respect paid to the kid. It was just enough to teter me off wanting to see it cause there is so many cheap rip offs, like mind of mencia. That guy is real prosperous stealing other peoples material.

There is parody and thievery .

Which was it ?

In contemporary usage, a parody (or lampoon) is a work that imitates another work in order to ridicule, ironically comment on, or poke some affectionate fun at the work itself, the subject of the work, the author or fictional voice of the parody, or another subject.

Maybe they were "poking some affectionate fun" at it.

Not a big deal I suppose... just something that kind of jumped out at me when I first saw it. It was worse than the time the show Scrubs used a joke that was used in the movie Oceans 11. (Or at least I think it was Oceans 11.)

It's parody, trust me.

It's Always Sunny doesn't need to steal from anyone. In fact, I bet other shows will be ripping of It's Always Sunny in a few years.
