Noticed that my .wmv Diggnation feed didn't grab anything this week, so dropped in to manually grab it...and see that it's not listed.

Has .WMV format support by chance been discontinued?

Thanks.

I haven't seen the WMV files for revision3 in ages. Its a really bad dying format that no one should use anymore. Anyway, go get the Xvid or h.264 versions, they are a lot better.

Really? I've been watching them until this current episode.

I see that the current show has just been posted in .WMV since my post earlier, thanks guys.

I will, however, check out the Xvid and see how it looks -- appreciate the tip. :)

the .wmv version is very important. only because it's the easiest file to stream to an xbox360 and watch on the boob toob. as soon as microsoft drops in divx support on the xbox360, they can stop encoding in .wmv. the h.264 and xvid look as good or better and are usually smaller.

Heh. That's what I was wondering. WMV isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Even though there are superior formats available, it's not going to disappear.

You'll be waiting a very long time.
