What do you think? seems as if we look at every aspect of the geek culture other than music. It would be pretty cool to see evryone's different interests and tastes. On that note. Can anyone else not put the new Spoon album down. It's effing awesome!

I for one have never heard of spoon. But I'm not very in the know when it comes to music. I do enjoy all music though. What's the album name? What type of music is it. Sell it to me. I'm an willing consumer.

Glad to hear that someone is open minded! It has kinda a lame (but ironic title) Ga Ga Ga Ga. But their stuff is great! Indie rock mixed with some funk and experimental elements.

Here's the video for "I Turn My Camera On." It's all about legs, baby

Coheed and Cambria is the ultimate geek band...not only do all their albums follow an epic sci-fi storyline, they also have comic books to go along with the story

Being a musician I would love for there to be a music section. But I think in terms of Geek culture and the amount of time with the other segments there's no room for it. Music is so vast and broad (not taking anything away from film or theater Dan & Jeff) it would need it's own show. I love the show the way they've built it now with the rotation of Comics/Books section. Plus they would probably have to squeeze out the ancillary segments like "Dan becomes a man" "Ice cream break" & "Mastering the Heely". They can't do that cuz that would would make "Slayton22 am cry"!! Maybe us Raddies could just have a stickied thread to discuss and proliferate music with our beloved Hosts. Whaddaya say Mods?

*On a side note, Alex I realize how busy you probably are with the shows, flying to & fro and all the "research" for the segments but Dude, seriously....you can't just leave us with 1 song. Lullaby is -to paraphrase- "EPIC!!!". Like a junkie I need more. At least just one more song to tide us over for awhile. Even if it''s demo quality I don't care. I know you've got other ones half in the bag, you can't fool us. And might I suggest using Virb to post them instead of MySpace(bleh!). That way we can share & link all our(Raddies) songs.

I love the new Spoon album. It's my most played album since it came out... I think it's so much better than their old stuff, too. Even though I did like that stuff too... but... This latest album is just... insanely awesome somehow.:D

Every Friday from 12-2pm on Indie 103.1 FM (listen online at www.indie1031.fm) in Los Angeles theres this radio show called Jonesey's Jukebox Jury where Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols has all kinds of random guests and they play some new music and talk about it and they talk quite a bit about the guests as well.

Last week he had on a few people who all happened to be lifeguards. A few weeks before that he had on Justin Long (the mac guy) and some other actors. Once he had a bunch of kids on the show. I think it'd be totally rad if he had Jeff, Alex, Dan, and even Steve on. The show is in LA and they're all in the area, right?

the five albums i've been listening to the most lately....

Hanson - The Walk excellent pop/rock. TRS fans seem to be fairly open-minded when it comes to checking out something new. forget about their past and be prepared to enjoy something totally rad.
Klaxons - Myths of the Near Future took a few listens before i really got hooked on the magical energy flowing from my headphones to my brain.
Floyd's Funk Revival - Creamy an excellent album from a mid 90's band with members who eventually formed the band Marvelous 3. its funk rock with lots of those "rock out" moments.
The Kooks - Inside Out indie rock with a little reggae funkiness thrown in
Lit - Lit orange county punk rock ftw

I got to agree with some of the post above about a music section being difficult due to music's vastness. Though i music section would be fun.

It would be kind of cool if the T-Rads( thats what i like to call them) would put out a little monthly playlist or something, i think that would be enough of a music section...

oh, though i haven't heard the new Spoon album I really dig the new single as well as their older stuff.

I would not like to see those 3 start a music section, as everyone said, too vast and none of them are really experts about it. However, if they wanted to tap into my great music knowledge, that might be ok. I'm very knowledgeable of music, specifically, good music.
