On a side note....
Am I the only one in the world who doesn't give a damn about portable music/media? It seems like a trend to me that will fail. There's a prediction for ya!
Anyways, great work you two. This is one of the few IPTV shows on the net that I look forward to!

Good ep. I think the interview with the twitching hand guy might've been a little long though.
What was that video playing while Om was talking about how advertising networks might as well show naked ladies for traffic?

Considering how much real put crap spyware into their software, it's interesting that it was a fluff interview - Om, you seemed more edgy today but yet with him you were a softie.
I thought you were a NY'er :)

I love Om, whenever he conducts an interview I can't help but wonder "Is he gona jump up and slap that guy"? He's blunt and to the point and Joyce simply rocks. Great episode, I still can't foresee myself playing it in the RealPlayer though. ;)

Om, Joyce, you really get better every week. The interview with Rob Glasner was really interesting.
And: I'm not one of the COG (cranky old geeks) out there ans _still_ enjoy your show.
Just one little point of criticism: Joyce, in your outfit, you looked a little bit like a school girl with a school uniform... Sorry to say that, but I guess it's good if there's nothing more severe. :)

Om,
I've watched a couple of your shows before this and I have to say you were pretty weak with the Real creator. Real went down the tubes because of the spyway they put in their system, and using a subscription model on top of the spyware. We could probably create a whole new thread on how Real Player infests Windows and never leaves.
As someone who has used Rhapsody for years, I was shocked you didn't dig deeper into the DRM issues. I've had several albums that simply skipped tracks, felt like I was back in the 70's listening to vinyl.
The dude may have been cutting edge on technology, but you would think a guy with 3 degrees from Yale could create a better business model. If you ever have him back, why don't you ask him how he managed to fall so far behind with so much education.

I'm not quite sure why the guy from Real Networks was bashing the iPhone and Apple so much. And what is with bringing back the album model to music downloads. Sorry, but I choose individual songs. That Real Networks guy was an arrogant prick.

I guess we can all agree that this was fluff.
Ok, maybe I wasnt expecting him to stop Glaser's well rehearsed pitch and say "Wat have u been smokin' mon?" but this was nothing different from many other tech shows.
The Om on Cranky Geeks is a guest, the one here is a host. There is the difference.
I couldnt place Glaser's voice at first, then it hit me.
He sounds like Bubba the Love Sponge.

Om and Joyce hit their stride in terms of chemistry during this episode, but not having Joyce present during the interview was kind of scary. I can't exactly lust after Joyce for a particular reason, but the eye candy element is very important to the show. Even when he dresses well, Om just isn't hot enough to get the job done.
