I loved TechLive/ZDTV News!

Revision3 should create a daily show or.. 2 or 3 times a week show that covers Tech News, a lot like TechLive did. It was like watching the evening news on your local news channel, only it was ALL TECH! :)

Yea I've been wondering if any of the IPTV channels from TechTv would do this, DL.TV does this for me some what at http://DL.TV/ But maybe when UndoTv comes, and if all of the Netcasts/IPTV channels get on it there will be an IPTV news show. But get Chris Leary. If hes still doing that show called "Master of Champions" or something..

Ya, a show like this, but maybe weekly, and covering news in a tech way would be cool. I know they have something like this on the discovery channel i think, "discoveries this week".

They could call it Revised weekly. or Rev3 weekly or call it NEWS.

This would be great. A 3 times a week show. M, W, and Friday. It wouldn't have to be that long either. 20 mins would do.

A show like this would be great. If Rev3 had a daily show to compete with Rocketboom, they would be in business!

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, watch MSNBC weekdays 3-4PM EST. The Most with Alyson Stewart feels like a show from the old TechTV days. It is all news and allot of tech and web based content. If they could make a show with that bases with Chris Leary or even talk to MSNBC about a daily special edition sponsored by MSNBC (advertising) that would be awesome.

DL.TV already does it for me. But who knows. They could try a Pilot EP and see how people respond.

I'd love a show like this, expecially if it was daily or everyother day. That would make it most like TechLive, because for technews weekly we have TWiT and Diggnation.

no, if you ever watched TechLive on TechTV or ZDTV News on ZDTV you would know. Diggnation is a great show I love it, but TechLive was more like your local news channel that covered only Tech Related news from all over the country, minus the weather man.

I love this idea, I used to catch the TechLive show right before The Screen Savers when I was getting up in the mornings to go to school. I'd either TiVo it or I'd just watch the re-run from yesterday. Good times. They will be missed, but not if you guys pick up on this idea! :D

I have to tell ya, I'd love to see all three, TechLive, the ScreenSavers and Call for Help.
I think it'd be a good idea to get a show like Call for Help back that was oriented more towards the novices, to be able to cover a greater demographic.
I mean, people who start off watching a show like that are the people who will later become the viewers of shows with more advanced topics right?

I would like to see this kind of show on Revision3. However, by the time it is realased, I'm not sure how relevant it will be. For example, if there is something new going on in the tech world, and the Rev3 team shoots the show, edits it, encodes it, will it still be news? I guess if they were to do this kind of show they would just have to make sure that it is produced and out on the internet pretty quickly, otherwise we will have gotten all of the news from other sources. Just my thoughts.

dl.tv is already twice a week. I would bet if they got some kick-a$$ encoder machine, they could do it. Who needs so many formats? Do a h.264 and an MP3 version. If a user wants to reencode it to watch, then they can do it themselves. There quite a few techlive type things already, this would have to be something bleeding edge and different.

a daily news show would be cool i would defiantly watch. is it me or does it seem that every one basiclly want rev3 to turn into the old techtv? not that its a bad thing or anything. but i think to have alot of the shows ppl are asking for it you have to be on cable tv or sumtin, and that would be cool to. maybe they will reach that point one day, but then they would have to get rid of that whole "throw away your tv"thing

you don't have to be on cable tv in order to have quality shows or quality people involved? look at all the these people.. kevin, dan, alex, leo, patrick.. all GREAT at what they do.. are they on cable tv? NO, they have their own IPTV shows
they aren't trying to get shows on cable.. you must not understand what IPTV is all about.. its the future, soon there will be no need for paying a cable tv bill

I wouldn't mind a TechLiveish show, but please make it more like the pre-newsmagazine format that we saw in the last few years of TechLive. In other words, tech news, not tech fluff.

A Tech Live type show would be awesome. Back when Tech Live and The Screensavers was on, that was where I learned almost everything about tech. Before Tech Live and The Screensavers I didn't know too much about certain computer programs, tech news, etc.

that is a great idea. I think it would be cool to have a 3-6 minute long daily show that just rounds up some of the top news stories of the day. I'd definitely tune in.
