Who's Conner?

Most people know him as Hunter.

God, I love that show so much.

So, are we, like, your ifanbase?

Some people may say this was too easy and obvious even for you, Horatio.

I am not one of those people.

No different here than I am in the real world. Show me something easy and I will pounce on it.

Enjoyed the show even though I was not as big a fan of Booster Gold as you guys were. Conor you and I definitely don't agree on Killing Girl. It was incredible.

Nice show guys. I hadn't picked up on the Klein thing in Killing Girl. Nice catch.

I heard this in the podcast and I still don't get the reference. Someone clear it up for me?

jaflanagan

It's the stereotype of the evil jew. Klein is a jewish name, and the nose is an old indicator of such.

Thanks for the explanation. That went completely over my head.

Yeah, I didn't connect the guy's name in Killing Girl to being Jewish either. At the time I was enjoying the book too much to notice. Kinda embarrassing now that it's been pointed out.

Can't say I didn't enjoy Killing Girl though. Ignorance = bliss.

(I agree with Conor, however. That's a cheap and gross stereotype.)

me too - 100%

I was way too wrapped up in the book to actually catch it.

I’m glad you all addressed the air in the bag & board question. I thought I was the only one that actually was bothered by it.

Loved the intro, guys. As you know, I am something of an intro connoisseur. Great job on the accent, Josh.

Also, the rest of the show was excellent as well.

Where was the Flash exposition rant, Josh!? Solidarity, dude!

I haven't heard the podcast yet (saving it for work), but I did buy the comic once I heard it was the pick of the week and...wow. That was so much better than I thought it would be. I think I have to add it on the list.

Great show as usual guys, and I totally agree with Ron - Hawkgirl is an absolute biscuit! :D

You're confusing Ron with Josh. But yeah. Hot.

Loved Booster Gold.

Hawkgirl is totally hawtsome, but something does bug me about her. Back in her JSA days, she was always drawn very lean and athletic. I loved it because her physique was so different from most other female heroes. But as soon as she hit the JLA, she got some massive breast implants. Was that part of the hazing perhaps? Or part of some inter-team competition with Power Girl?

I was just thinking this morning that it hasn't happened in a while. Oh well.

Wow, totally forgot about that Flash thing. It was hot in that room!

Ed Benes. He knows no other way to draw women, unfortunately.

For the record, it's not the boobs that made me declare hottitude. It's the A) Short Dark Hair and B) Kickassitude she has.

Agreed.

Is her solo book any good? I'm assuming not, but...

I've always liked Hawkman's militaristic attitude, Hawkgirl, is cool too, she was great in Brubaker's Catwoman

I'm all for the roll call at the beginning of each episode. Okay, maybe that's overkill, but maybe Ron will let someone else choose the music for once and we can get "The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room" as the intro music.

I did the music this week, and I decided that using a FotC song was just overkill. Maybe some day in the future....

But so far, I'm leaning towards the french song.

You, sir, are good at accents. I could tell your cockney from your New Zealand, but then, I'm from Kentucky so what the hell do I know about it.

For reason I've pegged Ron as a music overlord. I guess because he's more vocal about his music tastes on the show.

Business Time is also a good choice, just to let the ladies know that you don't always roll biblical.

Thanks. We've got New Zealanders listening, and plenty of brits, so I haven't heard any complaints. Oddly enough, the only person who's complained about an accent so far was a guy from Maine, and of course, I'm actually from there.

Indeed, I concur. Her Bristols certainly help though.

Apologies for mixing up Ron with Josh as I long time listener I should know better :(

Who did your self-portrait? Kind of resembles a Mike Allred drawing.

"Foux Da Fa Fa", an excellent and hilarious Serge Gainsbourg spoof. One of my favorites.

Zach, a guy from the forums here who listens to the show. He won the Scene It contest with Black Panther. I mostly use it cuz it freaks out Ron.
