I've watched diggnation since episode 1 and i am a HUGE fan, but honestly my favor has drifted more towards trs lately, the guys are really on the ball and make an awesome trio. don't get me wrong i still love diggnation, but trs is now my favorite... just wondering who all here was the same way? theres a new kid in town and that kid is trs. You guys rock, jeff, dan, alex, and steve (and the crickets).

In the mid 100s I think diggnation was in a rut, and I was getting into TRS a whole lot, but diggnation had a couple strong episodes lately so they're about even with me right now.
The totally-rad trio is getting better and better because their chemistry is getting better, whereas the diggnation duo have pretty much hit their plateau.

Yes, but Diggnation has never really been my favorite, I liked Geekdrome more back when it was still in production.

I whole-heartedly agree. I'm in the same boat as you, infact, I'd actually say that I'm a bigger fan than you, and I can prove it by pointing you to this (http://www.revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?p=188256#post188256) work of art I spent time on making.

I haven't watched Diggnation in a few weeks. TRS has definately become my favorite.

I hate to say it, but Diggnation isn't fun anymore. Being drunk for two years really put a damper on the show. Diggnation is only interesting now to hear news about Rev3. Kevin and Alex need to do something new in order to keep the show good.

I agree as well. I'm still a huge fan of Diggnation, but TRS has definitely became my favorite. Diggnation is a show that you can just listen and that's it. But, TRS is something you have to see to really get it all! And the relationship between Alex, Jeff and Dan is so great. Seems like as the Diggnation show goes on, Alex and Kevin have just a "work" relationship. May not be that way in real life though and I hope it isn't.

plus weekly shows are great on rev3, but i almost wish they had a live nightly show that was screensaverish and kinda does what tomgreen.com does nightly... wouldn't require editing and would open up the doors to iptv way more

I'm Sorry to say this JC but I'm an R3 whore... I love Diggnation, TRS, Infected and GigaOM :D
TRS is one of the more professional productions but they've still got room to enhance some of the segments over time and make them even more interactive and kick ass. TRS feels very personal which is brilliant, so much more than Television.

I came to TRS from Diggnation and It's definatly my favorite. In fact its my favorite internet program period. But I haven't really noticed this "decline" in diggnation everyone else here seems to be complaining about. It's still good as far as I'm concerned. The only problem I see with it is that the "shill" stuff at the end seems to slowly be getting longer and longer. Which cuts into the interesting part of the show more and more. Especially since I usually end up just stopping once they get to sponsors.

I agree totally....infact I said this same thing 2 months ago:) http://www.revision3.com/forum/showpost.php?p=145714&postcount=61
I was just thinking this as I watched ep22 just a few min ago: I think i look forward to watching TRS as much as I look forward to watching my favorite shows on TV. I still like Diggnation, but TRS just has so much more. The 4 guys just bring a dynamic to the show that makes it, well, RAD.
So yeah, I just said that I look forward to watching TRS as much as Heroes or Smallville. Bask in it TRS guys. :)

I saw a brief decline in diggnation for a while. It really seemed like Alex and Kevin were getting tired of each other or something (They were doing nothing but fighting about MS vs. Apple, etc) But they seem to be back to their good ole selves now.
I actually think that people might be saying Diggnation is declining just because TRS has raised their expectations.

Am I the only 'reverse' drifter out there? I started watching Diggnation after finding TRS being hosted by my ISP (thus downloads not being counted in the monthly quota). I much prefer TRS because of the overall tone. To me the most telling difference is what happens when people disagree on each of the shows. In TRS there are some goofy insults, chuckles and we move on; on Diggnation, they are a huge downer.

Well...I actually found TRS and because they don't do an episode every day I went to diggnation and started watching all the old episodes. But...I do enjoy TRS a little more than Diggnation.

The interactivity with the forums and fan and the personal feel are what makes this show rock for me. The fact that it covers rad stuff is just a bonus. It's less like a show and more like going over and hanging out with some cool guys. As long as it keeps that feel I'm hooked. Alex, Jeff and Dan could come hang out at my place any time.

You got me... I feel the same way. While I love Diggnation and the jokes between Alex and Kevin, it just has gotten old/stale.
TRS is awesome! LONG LIVE TRS!

I came to TRS from Diggnation, and though I love Diggnation, TRS is my favorite. For me it boils down to my son. He loves Alex. He loved to watch Screensavers and when that ended and Diggnation started up I was fine with him watching with me. Then it seemed to get more and more adult, and he is only 8. I had to nix Diggnation for him. Luckily TRS and also Ctrl Alt Chicken, but for him mainly TRS, came along. I got him to do his homework without complaint yesterday because he knew he could watch TRS afterwards. I just wish there were more shows so I could have that easy of time everyday of the week.
At least I can bribe him with gaming to get his homework done.

I like both shows but TRS is definitely my favorite. Im more interested in the topics covered and the opinions of the the guys. I find myself watching diggnation just to see what goofy situation or dialog will happen and not really for the stories.

Though I never imagined it would be the case, yes, I'm enjoying TRS a lot more than Diggnation these days. Kevin seems to be slipping a bit. Maybe it's the booze, but I don't find myself laughing as much anymore (except at/with Alex) and frankly the scrambling and bs-ing while someone trys to find the story they haven't bothered to read ahead of time is wearing a bit thin. I'll keep watching - don't get me wrong - but I'm really digging TRS.

I still enjoy watching Diggnation, but I find myself looking forward to the next TRS show more rather than the next Diggnation show.

I look forward to TRS more now. It has gotten old watching two guys being drunk. The earlier episodes were great because they were more coherent. Now they talk about Amazing [PIC] stories and a video on youtube of surfing squirrels.

TRS is a weekly event for me...and Diggnation isn't.
I wish it were Alex and Jeff..or Alex and Dan...or Alex and Jeff and Dannation..
Kevin is really starting to get on my nerves lately. He's so full of himself and about half the time he makes me shake my head.
TRS is just awesome.

Gotta agree, TRS is now my favourite podcast.
*Just on a side note, does anyone actually watch notmtv or xlr8r tv? These don't seem to fit in with the rest of Revision3 nor do they seem popular.

I watch everything except for NotMTV, I can't play favourites, I genuinely love a lot of the shows here (and no I don't have to lie because of being a mod :D)
I hated Geekdrome. I really really did. With that said, I love Dan. I've been with Rev3 since day 1 so yeah. Diggnation is where I got started and I find TRS is really up there. I can't wait to see TRS and I can't wait to see Diggnation. Both excellent and I place them above TV shows.

Just a pet-peeve of mine; but I find Diggnation almost unwatchable because of Kevin's constant 'lip-smacking' noise.
To me, it's like hearing someone slobber in your ear for an hour. Jeff does it, too. But not nearly as annoyingly as Kevin does.
I suppose me getting smacked around by my dad every time I ever did that very thing developed my intolerance for that particular human trait.

Like many here I started with Diggnation and when TRS came out I was really interested in seeing what it was all about. I'm glad I did, it's been totally worth every episode.
I still like Diggnation but it's definitely taken 2nd place for me. It's too hit or miss. Depends on how much they've been drinking. Alex is funny sober, so he doesn't need to drink too much. When he's plastered it goes south pretty quick. Kevin is ok after a few beers, he definitely can go better than Alex there but he can start spouting some off the wall shit. Many times you know he's saying something he shouldn't and that's just awkward. I'm not trying to diss Kevin, but if it weren't for Alex I wouldn't watch/listen to Diggnation.
That said they will often hit on all cylinders and create a funny ass show. I'll remain subscribed.

I call it the 'swallow-smack'.
Many, many, many, many people do it without realising how ****ing annoying it is.

I see diggnation as more of a young, fun, TWIT. It's not as in depth, but I love how they extrapolate on the stories, be it in a technical or "oh shit, this one time in high school" sort of way.
I've primarily been watching diggnation, but recently I've been checking out more of what Rev3 has to offer. TRS is awesome when they cover stuff I'm interested in, but since I don't have any consoles, read comics, or watch much TV, a lot of times it doesn't really do it for me. However, it's growing on me. Alex, Dan, and Jeff are great together and the dynamic is starting to be enough to keep me watching.
For most of the rest of Rev3's offerings, I generally only tune in when I catch something in the bio that interests me. That being said, I have yet to find anything I genuinely don't like (although Mysteries of Science Explained was uber dumb), and I'm very happy with what Revision3 is doing.

Besides all the really great things about the show that I love. One of the main things I appreciate the show for is that it got me back into reading all the time. Whether it's comics/graphic novels or the picks from the book club. I use to read all the time in high school and college but basically just felt like I didn't have time for it anymore once I started working nearly everyday.
Thanks guys
